BINDER COMPOSITIONS WITH POLYVALENT PHOSPHORUS CROSSLINKING AGENTS
An fibrous insulation product is provided that includes a binder comprising a polyol and a phosphorus crosslinking agent derived from a phosphonic or phosphoric acid, salt, ester or anhydride to form crosslinked phosphodiester linkages. The polyol is polyvalent, but may be monomeric or preferably polymeric; and may be synthetic or natural in origin. Carbohydrate polysaccharides are exemplary polyols, including water-soluble polysaccharides such as dextrin, maltodextrin, starch, modified starch, etc. Additionally, the carbohydrate polymer may have a dextrose equivalent (DE) number from 2 to 20. In exemplary embodiments, the binder may also include a catalyst, a coupling agent, a process aid, and other additives. The environmentally friendly, formaldehyde-free binder may be used in the formation of residential and commercial insulation materials and non-woven chopped strand mats. A method of making fibrous products is also provided.

FLAME RETARDANT PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE, FLAME RETARDANT PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SAME
The present invention provides a flame-retardant pressure-sensitive adhesive, comprising reaction products of the following reaction compositions based a total weight of the reaction compositions as 100 wt. %: 35-99 wt. % of a (meth)acrylate copolymer containing a functional reactive functional group, the functional reactive functional group comprising one or a plurality of the following groups: carboxyl group, hydroxyl group and epoxy group; the (meth)acrylate copolymer containing the functional reactive functional group being formed by free radical polymerization of one or a plurality of monomers; and 1-65 wt. % of a reactive organophosphorus flame retardant capable of reacting with the functional reactive functional group, the reactive organophosphorus flame retardant being formed by reaction of reaction components comprising the following substances: a compound or oligomer containing n epoxy groups, wherein n>=2, and 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide. The flame-retardant pressure-sensitive adhesive meets the halogen-free flame retardant requirements of the UL94V0 standard, and possesses high peel strength and high-temperature static shear strength.
Phosphorus-containing resin composition and article made therefrom
A phosphorus-containing resin composition comprises a first phosphorus-containing compound, a second phosphorus-containing compound and a maleimide resin; wherein the first phosphorus-containing compound comprises a compound of Formula (I), a compound of Formula (II), or a combination thereof, and wherein the second phosphorus-containing compound is different from the first phosphorus-containing compound, and the second phosphorus-containing compound is absent of a group capable of reacting with the maleimide resin.
Phosphorus-containing resin composition and article made therefrom
A phosphorus-containing resin composition comprises a first phosphorus-containing compound, a second phosphorus-containing compound and a maleimide resin; wherein the first phosphorus-containing compound comprises a compound of Formula (I), a compound of Formula (II), or a combination thereof, and wherein the second phosphorus-containing compound is different from the first phosphorus-containing compound, and the second phosphorus-containing compound is absent of a group capable of reacting with the maleimide resin.
Resin composition and molded body thereof
To enhance adhesion between a resin and a glass filler and at the same time to disperse a rubber in the resin to thereby improve mechanical properties of a molded body. Provided is a resin composition containing an engineering plastic (A), a glass filler (B) and a rubber-containing graft polymer (C), wherein a ratio of an acrylonitrile-derived component in a chloroform-soluble component of the resin composition is not more than 2.0 mass %, a content of a fatty acid in 100 parts by mass of the resin composition is not more than 0.03 parts by mass, a total content of calcium and magnesium in 100 parts by mass of a dry sample of the resin composition extracted with chloroform is not more than 0.0008 parts by mass, and a content of aluminum is not more than 0.0008 parts by mass. Also provided is a resin composition further containing a salt (D) of an alkali metal and a strong acid. The engineering plastic (A) is preferably an aromatic polycarbonate resin. Also provided is a molded body obtained by molding the resin composition.
Resin composition and molded body thereof

Also provided is a resin composition further containing a salt (D) of an alkali metal and a strong acid. The engineering plastic (A) is preferably an aromatic polycarbonate resin. Also provided is a molded body obtained by molding the resin composition.
Flame-retarded polyamide composition
There is provided herein a flame retarded polyamide composition comprising: (a) at least one polyamide; (b) a hydroquinone bisdiphenyl phosphate ester of the general formula (I): wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each independently is aryl, or arylalkyl each independently containing up to about 30 carbon atoms, optionally interrupted with heteroatoms, X is a divalent hydroquinone group, containing up to about 20 carbon atoms, and n has an average value of from about 1.0 to about 2.0; and, (c) at least one brominated flame retardant and optionally, melamine polyphosphate. ##STR00001##

There is provided herein a flame retarded polyamide composition comprising: (a) at least one polyamide; (b) a hydroquinone bisdiphenyl phosphate ester of the general formula (I): wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each independently is aryl, or arylalkyl each independently containing up to about 30 carbon atoms, optionally interrupted with heteroatoms, X is a divalent hydroquinone group, containing up to about 20 carbon atoms, and n has an average value of from about 1.0 to about 2.0; and, (c) at least one brominated flame retardant and optionally, melamine polyphosphate. ##STR00001##
