Medical device lubricant system and methods of use
The present invention disclosed a lubricant system and methods of use. Said lubricant system comprises siloxane polymers with viscosity greater than 100 centistokes and cross-linking agents that can promote siloxane polymers curing rapidly in ambient conditions. The lubricant system comprises further hydroxy siloxane polymers, siloxane coupling agent, catalyst and volatile carrier solvents. The surfaces of medical devices are coated at least once, a solid lubrication film can be quickly formed, and the film has a very excellent lubricating performance and wide applications. The methods of use are simple, easy to implement and control, and is particularly suitable for rapid automatic production lines, and thus is of great economic value.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS
A lubricant composition said composition comprising at least one base oil and from 1 to 70 wt % of at least one friction modifying additive, wherein the composition is such that the viscosity reversibly reduces at a pressure from 50 MPa to 3 GPa. A mechanical system comprising the lubricant composition; use of the lubricant composition and methods of reducing friction using the lubricant composition are also disclosed.

Provided herein is a composition for treating aluminum containing surfaces, wherein the composition includes a reaction product of at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof and at least one fatty acid, wherein the molar ratio of the amino group/s of the at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof and of the at least one fatty acid is 1.2:1 to 1:2, and wherein the at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof is linked to the at least one fatty acid by at least one carboxylic acid/amine salt bond and/or at least one amide bond.
SOLID LUBRICANT AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A solid-state lubricant composition is disclosed. The solid-lubricant contains graphene, an oxide of a metal, and one or more polymeric binders. A method of making a solid-state lubricant coating on various substrates is disclosed. The method includes the steps of making a homogeneous slurry comprising powder of an oxide of a metal, graphene, and a polymeric binder with organic volatile solvent; coating a substrate with the homogeneous slurry with desired thicknesses; and drying the slurry on the substrate naturally or applying additional heat, resulting in a solid lubricant coating on the substrate. Substrates with coated solid composite lubricant show wear reduction and lower coefficient of friction compared with uncoated substrates.
Polymeric viscosity modifiers for use in lubricants
A lubricating oil composition having greater than 50 wt % of a base oil and 0.1 wt % to 20 wt %, both based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, of a dispersant viscosity modifier obtainable by: A) reacting: a) at least one of a lactone of formula (I) or a derivative thereof: ##STR00001##
wherein X is oxygen, and R is an optionally substituted hydrocarbylene group having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms; and b) at least one compound selected from amines, alcohols and oxazolines; and B) reacting the reaction product of step A) onto an acylated olefin copolymer obtainable by acylating a copolymer of ethylene and one or more C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha-olefins having a number average molecular weight of 5,000 to 200,000 g/mol as measured by GPC, with an acylating agent. Methods employing the lubricating oil compositions and uses of the lubricating compositions as engine oils are also described.

Provided herein is a composition for improving performance of waxless skis, in particular skin skis, more particularly of skin strips, on snow, the composition comprising (a) C.sub.1-6-alcohol(s); and (b) lubricant(s) selected from a group consisting of (c) perfluoropolyethers, (d) polydi(C.sub.1-3-alkyl)siloxanes, and mixtures thereof.
Sulfur- and phosphorus-free extreme pressure lubricant and preparation method and application thereof
A sulfur- and phosphorus-free extreme pressure lubricant and a preparation method thereof is disclosed. The lubricant is prepared by using Turkey red oil, a cyclic anhydride compound, triethanolamine, nano polytetrafluoroethylene powder, an alcohol compound, and water as raw materials. The lubricant does not contain hazardous substances such as sulfur and phosphorus. This reduces the harm to the environment, equipment, and human body, and conforms to the development trend of modern industrial production. Moreover, the lubricant has excellent extreme pressure performance, and can effectively reduce the downhole friction and torque, thereby meeting the construction requirements of extended reach wells and horizontal wells.
