Grease composition
It is an object of the present invention to provide a grease composition, for an outer ring rotation type rolling bearing, which is capable of satisfying all of high-temperature durability, low-temperature property, peeling resistance, and rust-preventive property. A grease composition (7) to be enclosed in the outer rig rotation type rolling bearing for use in automotive electric auxiliary machines contains base oil, a thickener, a peeling-resistant additive, a wear-resistant additive, and a rust-preventive agent. The base oil is mixed oil of trimellitic acid ester oil and synthetic hydrocarbon oil mixed therewith in a mass ratio of (70:30) to (90:10). The thickener consists of a diurea compound shown by a formula (1).

LUBRICATING OILS WITH VISCOSITY INDEX IMPROVER CONCENTRATES
The disclosure relates to viscosity improver concentrates comprising a bio-based liquid decarboxylated rosin acid as a solubilizer, and a viscosity index improver. The viscosity improver concentrate is used in lubricating oil compositions comprising base oil and optional additives. The decarboxylated rosin acid component has at least one or more of: one or more C?C groups, and 40-100 wt. % of tricyclic compounds having 18-20 carbon atoms; a sum of tricyclic compounds as aromatic and cycloaliphatic of 50-100 wt. %, based on total weight of the decarboxylated rosin acid; and an amount of cycloaliphatic compounds of 15-100 wt. %, based on total weight of the decarboxylated rosin acid. The viscosity improver concentrates comprising the solubilizer have comparable properties, including compatibility, kinematic viscosity, and viscosity index, to other commonly used fossil based solubilizers.
Synergistic Dispersants
Lubricant compositions including an additive composition and methods for its use in engines that produce soot. The lubricant composition contains a base oil and an additive composition having (a) at least 0.05 percent by weight of a first dispersant that is a reaction product of A) a hydrocarbyl-dicarboxylic acid or anhydride, and B) at least one polyamine; and (b) at least 0.05 percent by weight, both based on a total weight of the lubricant composition, of a second dispersant that is a reaction product of A) a hydrocarbyl-dicarboxylic acid or anhydride, and B) at least one polyamine, wherein the reaction product is post-treated with C) an aromatic carboxylic acid, an aromatic polycarboxylic acid, or an aromatic anhydride wherein all carboxylic acid or anhydride groups are attached directly to an aromatic ring, and/or D) a non-aromatic dicarboxylic acid or anhydride having a number average molecular weight of less than about 500.

The formulated oil has a composition including at least one bismuth-containing compound (e.g., a bismuth salt of a carboxylic acid). A fuel composition for high compression spark ignition engines that contains at least one bismuth-containing compound (e.g., a bismuth salt of a carboxylic acid). A method for preventing or reducing engine knock and pre-ignition in an engine by using a fuel additive composition in a gasoline fuel composition. The fuel additive composition contains at least one bismuth-containing compound (e.g., a bismuth salt of a carboxylic acid). The lubricating oils of this disclosure are useful as passenger vehicle engine oil (PVEO) products.

LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITIONS WITH ENGINE WEAR PROTECTION
A method for improving wear control, while maintaining or improving fuel efficiency, in an engine or other mechanical component lubricated with a lubricating oil by using as the lubricating oil a formulated oil. The formulated oil has a composition including a lubricating oil base stock as a major component, and a mixture as a minor component of (i) at least one metal salt of a straight chain carboxylic acid, wherein the metal is selected from the group consisting of palladium (Pd), silver (Ag), gold (Au), zinc (Zn), and combinations thereof, and (ii) at least one metal salicylate salt, wherein the metal is calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg) or combinations thereof, wherein the molar ratio of the total metal concentration from the salicylate salt divided by the total metal concentration from the straight chain carboxylic acid ranges from 0.1 to 40. The lubricating oils are useful in internal combustion engines.
