WATER BASED SEMI-SYNTHETIC METALWORKING FLUID COMPOSITION
The present invention describes a water based semi-synthetic metal working fluid comprising a base oil, an organic acid, emulsifiers, optionally a concentrate additive, water and a microbial growth control agent which comprises a glycol ether amine.
System, composition and method of application of same for reducing the coefficient of friction and required pulling force during installation of wire or cable
A composition and method for reducing the coefficient of friction and required pulling force of a wire or cable are provided. A composition of aqueous emulsion is provided that is environmentally friendly, halogen free and solvent free. The composition is compatible with various types of insulating materials and may be applied after the wire or cable is cooled and also by spraying or submerging the wire or cable in a bath. The composition contains lubricating agents that provide lower coefficient of friction for wire or cable installation and continuous wire or cable surface lubrication thereafter.
Lubrication of transfer plate using an oil or oil in water emulsions
This disclosure relates to transfer plate lubricant compositions and methods of transporting open containers across stationary transfer plates.
WATER-SOLUBLE METALWORKING FLUID
Provided is a water-soluble metalworking oil comprising a base oil (A) comprising oil-soluble polyalkylene glycol (A1), wherein a total content of water-soluble polyalkylene glycol and methoxypolyethylene glycol is less than 60% by mass based on the total amount excluding water.
WATER-SOLUBLE METALWORKING FLUID
A water-soluble metalworking oil may include 0.7% by mass or more of 2-phenoxyethanol (A), based on the total water-soluble metalworking oil mass. A content of petroleum sulfonate may be less than 10 parts by mass, based on 100 parts by mass of the 2-phenoxyethanol (A). The 2-phenoxyethanol (A) may be present in a range of from 0.7 to less than 5.0% by mass. The water-soluble metalworking oil may further include: an amine, a fatty acid (C), and/or a nonionic surfactant (D).
Metal-working fluid compositions and methods for making
The disclosure relates to a biobased metal-working fluid (MWF) composition and method for making same, and more particularly metal-working fluid with biobased lubricants with improved emulsion stability. At least 50 wt. % of the base oil component in the MWF concentrate is a plant-derived liquid decarboxylated rosin acid oil (“DCR”). The DCR comprises 50 to 100 wt. % of tricyclic compounds having 18-20 carbon atoms, one or more C═C groups, and m/z (mass/charge) value of 220-280; an oxygen content of <5%; a density of 0.9 to 1.0 g/cm.sup.3 at 20° C.; and an acid value of <10 mg KOH/g. The resulting MWF is characterized as having comparable if not better performance compared to a MWF containing only mineral oil (e.g., Group I or Group II).
LUBRICATION OF TRANSFER PLATE USING AN OIL OR OIL IN WATER EMULSIONS
This disclosure relates to transfer plate lubricant compositions and methods of transporting open containers across stationary transfer plates.
GLIDE AGENT
A lubricant for increasing the sliding capability of an item of sports equipment, in particular an item of winter sports equipment. The lubricant including an aqueous solution having an aqueous silicone emulsion, an emulsion of a polydimethylsiloxane, and a water-based formulation having methylisothiazolinone and/or benzoisothiazolinone.
METAL WORKING FLUIDS BIOCIDE
A microbial growth control agent and method of controlling microbial growth in metal working fluids, wherein the agent comprises at least a glycol ether amine.
USE OF BIODEGRADABLE HYDROCARBON FLUIDS AS DRILLING FLUIDS
The invention is a fluid having a kinematic viscosity from 3 to 6 mm.sup.2/s, a flash point of higher than 120° C. and a pour point lower than −40° C., having a boiling point in the range of from 200° C. to 400° C. and a boiling range below 80° C., said fluid comprising more than 95% isoparaffins and less than 3% of naphthens by weight, a biocarbon content of at least 95% by weight, containing less than 100 ppm aromatics by weight. The invention is also a drilling fluid and the use of the fluid to improve the viscosity of the drilling fluid.
