The disclosure provides a cleaning composition for cleaning a hard surface, comprising: a) an oil and/or fat, wherein the oil and/or fat is from 1% to 20% by weight based on a total weight of the composition; b) a polyol; c) a surfactant, wherein a weight ratio of the surfactant to the oil and/or fat is equal to or greater than 1:5. The disclosure further relates to a method of preparing the cleaning composition and uses thereof.

Preferably, the enzyme compositions included in the cleaning compositions comprise a cellulase, an AA9 polypeptide having cellulolytic enhancing activity, a hemicellulase, an esterase, an expansin, a laccase, a ligninolytic enzyme, a pectinase, a peroxidase, a protease, a swollenin, or a combination or mixture thereof. The compositions are useful for degradation of bacterial cellulose.

A process for making a surfactant composition is disclosed. In the process, a mixture comprising a sugar alcohol and fatty is formed. The mixture contains less than 5% by weight of water based on the total weight of the mixture. The mixture is reacted with an alkylene oxide to make a surfactant composition containing an alkoxylated sugar alcohol fatty acid ester and a polyalkylene glycol fatty acid ester. A surfactant composition and use of the surfactant composition to separate an oil phase and/or an aqueous phase from an emulsion is also disclosed.

SURFACTANT SYSTEMS

The invention provides a surfactant system, for use in household detergent compositions, which is a mixture of: (i) at least one sulfonate-functionalized alkyl polyglycoside of general formula (I):

A process of removing microorganism from an article of clothing is provided in which the process comprises the steps of a) providing an article of clothing in a washing machine; and b) contacting said article of clothing during a wash sub-cycle of said washing machine with a liquid detergent composition comprising a surfactant system and an organic acid, wherein the composition has a neat pH of from 1.5 to 5.0.

Aqueous light duty liquid detergent formulation

An aqueous light duty liquid detergent formulation is provided including a water; an essential oil; a derivative of castor oil having a formula selected from formula I and formula II; an ethoxylated phenol having formula III; an anionic surfactant and a zwitterionic surfactant. Also provided is a method of cleaning an article using the aqueous light duty liquid detergent formulation.

A composition contains at least one lipase selected from SEQ ID NO: 1 and its respective at least 60%, preferably at least 80%, more preferably at least 90%, especially preferably at least 95%, 98%, or 99%, homologues at the amino acid level; at least one biosurfactant; and optionally, at least one non-bio surfactant. The composition can be used to to remove fat and/or oil-containing stains from a surface.
