The amino acid can be naturally-occurring or synthetic, or they may be obtained via a ring-opening reaction of a lactam, such as caprolactam. The amino acid may be functionalized to form a compound that is surface-active and have advantageous surfactant characteristics. The compounds of the present disclosure have low critical micelle concentrations (CMC) as well as superior ability to lower the surface tension of a liquid.

Detergent composition comprising an acidic sophorose lipid and fatty acid salt mixture

The cleaning agent composition of the present invention comprises (a) a fatty acid salt and (b) a sophorose lipid, wherein the proportion of the component (a) is 4 to 18 mass % based on the cleaning agent composition taken as 100 mass %; the proportion of a fatty acid salt having 12 or fewer carbon atoms is 15 parts by mass or more, and the proportion of a fatty acid salt having 16 or more carbon atoms is 60 parts by mass or less, based on 100 parts by mass of the total amount of the component (a); the proportion of an acidic sophorose lipid is 80 mass % or more based on the total amount of the component (b) taken as 100 mass %; and the proportion of the component (b) is 5 to 80 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the total amount of the component (a).

FOAM CONTROL INGREDIENT FOR DETERGENT COMPOSITION

The present invention is in the field of fabric cleaning compositions; in particular powder detergent compositions having foaming and cleaning characteristics in the main wash, yet significant foam reduction during rinse. Accordingly the present inventors have investigated ways of improving the defoaming ingredient such that the defoaming ingredient has improving foam-subsiding effects in the rinse stage. However they found that incorporating a monoester of glycerol of unsaturated fatty acids in a cleaning composition has adverse effects on the perfume impact of the cleaning composition. The inventors have found that the disadvantages of the prior art can be overcome, if a monoester of glycerol and unsaturated fatty acid is sorbed by a porous carrier material having a specific pore size and pH ranges. The inventive defoaming ingredient did not masked and/or altered the perfume delivery of the detergent composition.

AQUEOUS LIGHT DUTY LIQUID DETERGENT FORMULATION

An aqueous light duty liquid detergent formulation is provided including a water; an essential oil; a derivative of castor oil having a formula selected from formula I and formula II; an ethoxylated phenol having formula III; an anionic surfactant and a zwitterionic surfactant. Also provided is a method of cleaning an article using the aqueous light duty liquid detergent formulation.

Systems and methods for identifying rare cells

Disclosed herein are compositions and methods of fixing and staining rare cells. Further, disclosed herein are methods of identifying circulating tumor cells (CTC). In some embodiments, the method includes: imaging a cell sample to identify a cell of interest; determining a first pixel intensity of a stained nuclear area; determining a second pixel intensity of a background area; calculating a ploidy status of the cell of interest by subtracting the second pixel intensity from the first pixel intensity; and determining whether the cell of interest is a CTC based on the ploidy status. The method may be computer implemented, such that the method uses a machine learning algorithm to identify a feature; process the feature to extract a parameter of interest; analyze the parameter of interest; and when the parameter of interest is greater than or less than a predetermined threshold, classify the cell of interest as a CTC.

Liquid cleansing agents with a low viscosity, containing (A) one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of N-acyl acidic amino acid and a salt thereof, (B) one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of N-acyl neutral amino acid and a salt thereof, and (C) an amphoteric surfactant can be filled in a foamer container and are cleansing agents with high cleansing power which afford fine foam discharged from a foamer container, maintain fineness, provide a good amount of lather and a smooth feeling after washing, can prevent clogging in a foamer container during use at low temperatures, and are also superior in low temperature stability.

Laundry builders and surfactants derived from bio-based hydroxyacids and epoxides

Fatty acid based surfactants and methods for producing fatty acid based surfactants are described. The method includes reacting a fatty acid ester epoxide with a hydroxy acid, a hydroxy ester, a polyoxyalkyl diol, or a polyamine. Any remaining esters from the original fatty acid ester epoxide or hydroxy ester can optionally be hydrolyzed. Methods for making citric acid derived surfactants are also described.

Underwater cavitation jet cleaning system

An underwater cavitation jet cleaning system provided with an automatic metering feeder for cleaning solution organically integrates a cavitation jet technology with the improvement of cleaning solutions, which can not only increase bubbles can be during jet, but also is beneficial for removing hull dirt. An eddy segment of a nozzle is arranged as a spiral passage, and the eddy segment is gradually reduced from a water inlet to a water outlet, so that a speed of fluid becomes further faster. A volume of an in-pipe chamber of a barrel is different, and the fluid is pulsed while flowing through the barrel, so that the fluid is finally ejected from the nozzle of a cleaning gun, which efficiently improves the cavitation rate, and increases the generation of cavitation nucleus.
