Relation to the manufacture of personal cleansing compositions
The invention relates to a method of making solid cleansing compositions which comprise a non-soap anionic surfactant, a carrier, an emulsifier and water. The method entails preparing an emulsion of the components at an elevated temperature using excess water and subjecting the emulsion to cooling and solidification, wherein the water content is reduced. The invention further relates to the emulsions and to the novel solid cleansing compositions formed therefrom.
WATER-SOLUBLE REFILL DOSE ARTICLE ENCLOSING A CONCENTRATED LIQUID CLEANSER COMPOSITION AND KITS HAVING SAME
Water-soluble refill dose articles have a water-soluble film defining a first compartment enclosing a concentrated cleanser composition. The concentrated liquid cleanser composition comprises an anionic surfactant, 0.1% by weight to 10% by weight water, and 20% or less by weight glycol. The anionic surfactant contributes to the % by weight water, and adding the article to water at a 1:1 to 1:20 ratio defines a cleanser volume and produces a liquid cleanser that is dispensable through a pump that forms foamed cleanser and has a viscosity within a range of 1 cps to 1000 cps. Kits having a dispenser and the water soluble refill dose article are disclosed that have a pump that can foam the liquid cleanser.
SINGLE CHAMBER WATER-SOLUBLE REFILL DOSE ARTICLE ENCLOSING A CONCENTRATED CLEANSER COMPOSITION AND KITS HAVING SAME
Single compartment water-soluble refill dose articles having a water-soluble film enclosing a liquid concentrated cleanser composition, methods of making the same, and kits are disclosed. The liquid concentrated cleanser composition includes a mixture of a rheology modifier, a first surfactant, a stabilizing amount of a first alkaline substance, a viscosity increasing amount of an additional alkaline substance that interacts with the rheology modifier, when diluted with water to form a cleanser, to increase the viscosity, and about 10% or less wt/wt water and about 20% or less by wt/wt glycol. The first alkaline substance is an ethoxylated amine and prevents the viscosity increasing amount of additional alkaline substance from reacting with the rheology modifier before water dissolves the water-soluble film. When dissolved in water at a 1:1 to 1:20 ratio, a cleanser has a viscosity within a range of 2000 cps to 50,000 cps is formed.
MOLDABLE COMPOSITION FOR SOLID WASHING AGENT AND METHOD FOR MOLDING THE SAME

It is applicable to a system that can be manufactured on site and can satisfy customer needs because it can be molded immediately by a simple method and the shape, size, etc. can be controlled. In addition, the solid washing agent composition disclosed in the present specification has superior compatibility with water.
Aqueous cleaning formulation
An aqueous cleaning formulation is provided including a water; an essential oil, wherein the essential oil is selected from the group consisting of lavender oil, rosemary oil, thyme oil and mixtures thereof; a derivative of castor oil having a formula selected from formula I and formula II; an ethoxylated phenol having formula III; and a cleaning surfactant.
REDUCTION OF SURFACE TENSION, INTERFACIAL TENSION, AND CRITICAL MICELLE CONCENTRATION USING A PROTEIN-BASED SURFACTANT SYNERGIST
Surfactant-containing compositions are described which include a protein component that has the effect of improving the surface-active properties of the surfactants contained in the compositions. The surfactant-containing compositions having the protein component demonstrate significantly lower critical micelle concentrations (CMC), reduced surface tensions, and reduced interfacial tensions than do comparable compositions having no protein component. In addition, the surfactant-containing compositions having the protein component has the effect of converting greasy waste contaminants to surface active materials.
