DYE SCAVENGER AND METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF DYE SCAVENGER
A dye scavenger is provided that comprises a biodegradable hydrogel formed of at least one polymer chemically cross-linked by a cross-linker. The dye scavenger removes dyes rapidly, is prepared in an environmentally friendly manner, is reusable and biodegradable and can optionally incorporate other features of laundry compositions. The dye scavenger is useful for preventing dye transfer between fabrics in laundry and for removing dyes from waste water.
LIQUID LAUNDRY COMPOSITION
A liquid laundry composition comprising: (i) from 1 to 60 wt % of one or more surfactants selected from non-soap anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, and mixtures thereof; and (ii) from 0.05 to 10 wt % of an amphoterically-modified oligopropyleneimine ethoxylate having a following formula (I) wherein E is an ethoxy side chain corresponding to a formula —(RO).sub.n—R′(I) in which R units are ethylene; n has an average value from 5 to 50, preferably from 10 to 40; R′ units are each independently selected from hydrogen and SO.sub.3—, wherein at least 30% of R′ units, preferably at least 50%, are SO.sub.3—; Q units are each independently selected from C1-C4 alkyl, H and a free electron pair, wherein at least 50% of Q units, preferably at least 80% Y, more preferably at least 90% are C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl; and x ranges from 1 to 3.

NON-CHLORINATED OXIDIZING ALKALINE DEGREASING GELS AND USES THEREOF
Described herein are chlorine-free alkaline degreasing compositions. The compositions comprise at least one alkaline agent, surfactant(s) and potassium nitrate. The compositions of the invention advantageously comprise potassium nitrate instead of chlorinated compound(s). In embodiments, the degreasing composition takes the form of a gel. Since the compositions are chlorine-free they are particularly useful as cleansers and degreasers in food factories. Also described are methods for transforming an original cleaning composition comprising undesirable chlorinated compound(s) into an environmental-friendly chlorine-free cleaning composition by substituting the chlorinated compound(s) by potassium nitrate.
CLEANING COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to cleaning compositions, in particular to cleaning compositions for use in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) installations. We describe an acidic cleaning composition concentrate comprising: at least one acid having a pKa.sub.1 of 4 or less, wherein the at least one acid is at least one organic acid and/or non-oxidising mineral acid; a rheology modifier; and a polar protic solvent. In some examples, compositions may also include at least one of one or more weak nitrogenous bases, one or more carboxylate salts and one or more one surfactants;
Cleaning implement with a rheological solid composition
A cleaning implement for cleaning a target surface is provided that includes an erodible foam adapted to contact a surface to be cleaned and a rheological solid composition comprising a crystallizing agent and an aqueous phase.
SUSPENSION CLEANING
A method of cleaning a contaminated surface, such as cleaning the elongate interior lumen of an endoscope contaminated with flesh, bone, blood, mucous, faeces or biofilm, said method comprising the steps of: providing a suspension of solid particles in a liquid to said contaminated surface, and flowing said suspension along said surface thereby to remove contaminant from the surface. The suspension is preferably a paste, where the solid material may be e.g. crystals of a salt, silicon oxide or organic material. The paste preferably has a solid fraction between 5 and 55%. A rheology modifier may be present.
Solid laundry product containing polyethylene glycol and color-stabilizing starch
A laundry product comprising; polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 2 000 to 30 000; and free oil perfume comprising phenolic aldehyde, characterised in that the composition further comprises at least 1 w.t. % of starch or starch derivative.
Delayed onset fluid gels for use in unit dose laundry detergents containing colloidal particles
Disclosed is a unit dose laundry detergent product containing an in-vitro, delayed onset fluid gel detergent composition and a water soluble film pouch for enclosing the detergent composition. The composition includes a linear alkylbenzene sulfonate and/or an alcohol ethoxy sulfate having a C.sub.8-C.sub.20 backbone that is ethoxylated with from about 1 to about 10 moles of ethylene oxide, and a non-ionic surfactant comprising an alkoxylated alcohol, in an amount from 20 to 70 wt %, water in an amount from about 10 to about 30 wt %, free fatty acids in an amount from about 2 to 12 wt %, a magnesium cation in an amount of from 0.15 to 1 wt %, and colloidal particles such as an encapsulated fragrance. The composition is opacified and structured yet free of a structuring agent or an opacifying agent. Also disclosed is a method of making such product.
CLEANING AGENTS INCLUDING ENZYME
Cleaning agents, such as dishwasher detergents, in particular dishwashing machine detergents, may include at least one gel-like phase having a low content of water, such as a substantially anhydrous gel-like phase having at least one enzyme, such as at least one enzyme granulate.
Unit-dose detergent portion comprising a granular solid and a viscoelastic solid
A portion including at least one chamber having a wall made of water-soluble material, wherein the portion includes a composition which based on the total weight of the composition contains a total amount of 0.1% to 80% by weight of at least one surfactant. Wherein the composition includes at least two phases, wherein a) a first phase is a granular mixture of a solid-state composition and b) a second phase is in the form of a viscoelastic, solid-state molding of a second composition which based on the total weight of the second composition contains a total amount of more than 1% by weight of at least one benzylidene alditol compound of formula (I). Wherein *—, n, m, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are defined as storage-stable, aesthetic and releases the composition contained therein rapidly and effectively to provide a surfactant-containing liquor.
