Compositions for inhibiting anaerobic microorganisms
Agents, kits, and methods that utilize oxygenation to treat Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and/or provide prophylaxis against exacerbation of IBD are provided. In several embodiments, the agents, kits, and methods according to several embodiments generate in, or carry to, oxygen in the intestinal lumen to treat IBD and provide prophylaxis against exacerbation of IBD, including those caused by the presence of anaerobic bacteria in the intestine. The agents, kits, and methods provided herein generate an aerobic environment within the intestine to alleviate intestinal inflammation.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR TREATING OR PREVENTING DISEASES ASSOCIATED WITH OXIDATIVE STRESS
Methods and compositions for treating various indications by lessening oxidative stress in a patient are provided. A pharmaceutical composition comprises between about 0.001% to about 10.0%, or more specifically between about 0.015% to about 5%, sodium iodide or catalase by weight. The iodine ion or the catalase dissociates hydrogen peroxide into water and molecular oxygen to interrupt biological events that result in negative side effects. The pharmaceutical composition further comprises in some cases a reducing agent or various carrier materials. The pharmaceutical composition is in some cases formulated for a variety of delivery methods.
MOLECULE CARRIER AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
The invention provides a molecule carrier, comprising a metal-organic framework having an interior space and a surface of the metal-organic framework has a plurality of pores; and a molecule embedded in the interior space of the metal-organic framework. The invention also provides a method for preparing the molecule carrier by a de novo approach, comprising mixing a solution containing metal ions, an organic ligand, a molecule, and a surface coating agent to form an aqueous mixture. After incubating for a few minutes, the aqueous mixture is subjected to a drying process to obtain the molecule carrier.
Protein/oligonucleotide core-shell nanoparticle therapeutics
The present disclosure is directed to core-shell nanoparticles, compositions comprising core-shell nanoparticles, and methods of their use.
Oligonucleotide—containing pharmacological compositions and their use
The present invention relates to methods and compositions containing oligonucleotides suitable for administration to humans and other mammals.

SYNTHETIC METHANOTROPHIC AND METHYLOTROPHIC MICROORGANISMS
Provided herein are non-naturally occurring microbial organisms comprising a methane-oxidizing metabolic pathway. The invention additionally comprises non-naturally occurring microbial organisms comprising pathways for the production of chemicals. The invention additionally provides methods for using said organisms for the production of chemicals.
Preparation of Stabilized Catalase Enzymes Using Polyvinyl Alcohol
There is provided a method of producing a stabilized catalase enzyme. In the method, a substrate is thoroughly mixed with phosphate borate and catalase, rinsed with water and the solids dried. The dried solid may be mixed with polyvinyl alcohol and dried for further stabilization. The stabilized powder may be mixed with various skin solutions (lotions, ointments and the like). The catalase enzyme can catalyze the reaction of peroxide to oxygen.
CHEWABLE LIPID SUPPLEMENTS CONTAINING CAFFEINE FOR INCREASING ALERTNESS, FOCUS AND ENERGY
Flavored chewable wafers containing caffeine suitable for increasing alertness and allow an individual to perform tasks in a more focused and energetic manner comprises, formulations of phospholipids, specifically identified concentrations of phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidic acid, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine, glycolipids and phosphatidylserine along with inulin and other desirable active ingredients.
Ocular cross-linking system and method for sealing corneal wounds
Wounds in the eye following surgery or injury are sealed by soaking the area with a riboflavin solution containing iodide ion and irradiating the wound area with UVA radiation in a selected wavelength range for a selected time period to promote cross-linking of tissue between opposite surfaces of the wound or between the incised wound surfaces and a graft or implant.
