Machines that plant crop seed generally compact the seed rows with their tires. The solution to this problem is to cut or mold notches into the tire lugs in the area that would pass directly above the planted seeds and adjacent to the planted seeds. Tires could also be molded with the notches in place during the tire manufacturing process. If lateral beaming strength is needed in the tire, ribs can be formed on the inside of the tire either intermittent or continuous across the width of the tire. Notching also could be done selectively on tires after molding.

An agricultural implement comprises a wheel body with a peripheral groove, a tire with a bead projecting radially inward, and a radial lock which locks the tire around the wheel body. The bead is shaped so as to be housed in the groove when the tire is mounted around the wheel body. The radial lock comprises a first aperture formed in the wheel body, opening into the groove on the one hand and onto a main face of the wheel body on the other hand, at least a second aperture formed in the bead of the tire, opening substantially facing the first aperture, and a pin placed in the first aperture and the second aperture.

An agricultural roller comprises a tubular support and a series of pneumatic tyres mounted on the support. Each pneumatic tyre of the series has a respective uninflated envelope. The roller further comprises a series of tyres mounted on the support and interleaved in the series of pneumatic tyres. Each tyre has a respective envelope. The cleaner finger also includes a notch extending from an edge of the cleaner finger toward the longitudinal axis. The cleaner finger failing at the location of the notch when the cleaner finger tip is engaged by debris with a tension force greater than a tip anchor tension capacity of the finger tip anchoring mechanism.

An agricultural tool element includes a non-inflated tire with a tread and a pair of sidewalls each connected to the tread at a respective first end portion. The element additionally includes a rigid, generally annular base on which the tire is fitted on a rotary support of an agricultural tool. The sidewalls are each over-molded on a peripheral portion of the rigid base at a second end portion, opposite the tread.

Each tire includes a sole by way of which the tire is mounted on the support, a tread opposite the sole (3) and two sidewalls that connect the tread to the sole. The sole, the tread (5) and the sidewalls jointly form a deformable casing. The tread of at least one of the plurality of tires has a generally domed shape. The sidewalls of this tire are generally inclined radially. The domed shape of the tread and the inclination of the sidewalls are such that the deformation of the casing urges the sole axially outward.
