COIL OF CUTTING WIRE FOR A VEGETATION CUTTING MACHINE HAVING A GROOVED INNER SURFACE
The invention relates to a coil (2) of cutting wire for a vegetation cutting machine, wherein the wire (20) is coiled on itself about an axis so as to form at least two temporarily bonded turns (21) and a central void (22), characterized in that the surface of the wire portion forming the innermost turn of the coil facing the central void (22) comprises a plurality of grooves (230) creating a succession of protrusions and recesses extending parallel to said axis.
The invention also relates to a cutting assembly for a vegetation cutting machine such as a border trimmer or a brush cutter, said assembly including at least one coil (2) according to one of claims 1 to 9 and a cutting head (1) comprising: a body (10) defining an inner recess for the coil (2) and provided with a peripheral opening (12a, 12b) for the emergence of a length of cutting wire separated from the coil, and capable of being driven in rotation by a motor, and a central mandrel (13) for supporting said at least one coil, said mandrel comprising at least one arrangement (135″) adapted to cooperate with the grooves (230) of the coil so as to ensure rotational engagement between the mandrel and the coil, the mandrel being able to selectively rotate relative to the body.
STRING TRIMMER HEAD
A trimmer head for use with a string trimmer including a drive shaft includes a housing rotatable about a rotational axis. The housing includes a main body defining a cavity, and a cap removably coupled to the main body. The trimmer head further includes a spool supported in the cavity and operable to support line to be dispensed, a retainer positioned between the housing and the spool, and a nut positioned within the spool and configured to drivingly couple to the drive shaft.
STRING TRIMMER ASSEMBLY AND TRIMMER HEAD FOR USE WITH SAME
A string trimmer assembly includes a trimmer head rotatably driven by a drive shaft and defining a cavity, a spool supported in the cavity of the trimmer head and operable to support line to be dispensed, and a flange formed on the spool. The spool includes a through hole for receiving the line, which is dispensable though an opening in the trimmer head. The flange is formed on the spool in a common plane with the opening and with the through hole. The flange separates the line into a first line portion and a second line portion. The first line portion is positioned on a first side of the flange, and the second line portion is positioned on a second side of the flange.
GRASS TRIMMER
A grass trimmer includes a trimming head, a driving device for driving the trimming head to rotate so as to cut vegetation and an operating device for a user to operate so as to control the driving device. The trimming head includes a spool and a line holding element, the spool is used to wind a trimming line, and the line holding element is formed with a line holding structure. The driving device includes a motor. The grass trimmer has an auto-winding mode. In the auto-winding mode, the motor drives at least one of the spool and the line holding element to make the spool and the line holding element rotate relatively so that the trimming line is wound on the spool automatically.
Trimmer head assembly for a trimmer
A trimmer head or trimmer head assembly for a trimmer is provided herein. The trimmer head may include a base plate defining an axial direction, a pivot head, and a blade retainer. The pivot head may be attached to the base plate. The blade retainer may include a radial arm rotatably mounted to the base plate to rotate relative to the base plate between a first position at which the radial arm is circumferentially aligned with the pivot head and a second position at which the radial arm is circumferentially spaced apart from the pivot head.
POWER TOOL
A subassembly for a trimmer head of a power tool, the subassembly including: a flywheel; and a cartridge including a segment of trimmer line, wherein the cartridge is removably keyed to the flywheel, wherein the subassembly is configured to be operatively coupled to a motor of the power tool, and wherein the subassembly is removably positionable in a housing of the power tool.
Grass trimming head and grass trimmer having the same
A grass trimming head includes a housing assembly and a spool. The housing assembly is formed with a housing cavity and an outer aperture for allowing a cutting line to be inserted from an outside of the housing assembly into the housing cavity. At least a portion of the spool is arranged inside the housing cavity, and the spool is rotatable with respect to the housing assembly about a central axis. The spool is formed with an inner aperture for allowing the cutting line to be inserted into the spool or a clamping portion configured to fix the cutting line.
ROTATOR, BRUSH CUTTER, AND BOBBIN
A rotator includes a supporting case and a bobbin. The supporting case includes a cylindrical portion, a flange portion extended from the cylindrical portion, and a plurality of extension holes provided through the flange portion. An inner peripheral surface of the bobbin is removably abutted onto an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion. A string trimmer line with flexibility is wound around an outer peripheral surface of the bobbin. Both end portions of the string trimmer line wound around the outer peripheral surface of the bobbin are extended radially outward through two extension holes selected from a plurality of extension holes.
Spool for straight through line feed vegetation trimmer apparatus with modules and spokes
A trimmer head for use with either clockwise or counterclockwise trimmer heads, including the use of a bidirectionally dispensing spool. Various locations of passages straight through the trimmer head and spool are shown along with various locations of components of the ratcheting mechanism to allow for winding of the trimmer line on the trimmer head and for limiting the amount of line dispensed during “bumping” of the trimmer head knob on the ground. Additionally, an extended funnel into the passage can be provided to facilitate entrance of trimmer line into the funnel even when the line is not perfectly straight. Also, spokes can be used in place of the flanges of the spool to save material and cost, while still providing a guide and barrier between the line store areas.
Rotary head for string trimmer
A rotary head for string trimmers having a rotary body with a rotation axis and manufactured as one single piece; wherein the rotary body has one or more return areas, each of which is configured to lock a respective line portion by means of consecutive curves on different planes.
