A trimmer head for use with a string trimmer including a drive shaft includes a housing rotatable about a rotational axis. The housing includes a main body defining a cavity, and a cap removably coupled to the main body. The subject invention relates to a trimmer head for vegetation trimming and cutting machines, the trimmer head comprising a housing , a cutting blade , and a cutting blade shield with a plurality of through-openings , characterized in that it further comprises a vacuuming air assembly arranged in the housing such that, in operation, a vacuuming air flow is generated and directed from said cutting blade shield openings to an interior of the housing . Trimmer guards and trimmers are provided. A trimmer guard includes a body having a deck having an inner side adapted for connecting the trimmer guard to a trimmer; an outer side that is substantially arc-shaped. The body of the trimmer has a first edge and a second edge each arranged between the inner side and the outer side. The body further has a skirt extending from the outer side at an angle to the deck. The body includes a line cutter assembly on a bottom surface. When the trimmer guard is connected to a trimmer, the deck and the skirt together define a space for housing a rotary cutting tool of a cutting assembly of the trimmer. A plurality of baffles are formed on the body of the trimmer guard. The baffles are adapted to reduce noise generated by the trimmer during operation.

A weed trimmer extension device for cutting and collecting, or dispersing weeds includes a cutting enclosure, to which can be attached a collecting bag or a cutting disperser; a replacement cutting implement; and enclosure fasteners, for attaching the weed trimmer extension device to a weed trimmer. The cutting implement can further include a cutting blade and a perpendicular fin, which pushes air in a circular direction of motion, thereby creating a vortex of air, which rotates in the plane spanned out by the rotating cutting blade. The forearm shaft may have a top side comprising a forearm pad having an exterior surface configured to receive a forearm of a user. An improved guard is provided for hand-held cutting edge devices such as lawn trimmers. The guard extends beyond the cutting plane formed by the circular travel of the flexible cutting element. The extended guard protects against foreign objects being propelled by the cutting element, possibly causing damage or physical harm. A cutter may be provided inside the perimeter of the guard, extending into the plane formed by the cutting element to function as a cutter for setting the length of the cutting element being used. The guard may be formed as a single piece or as a composite which when assembled encircles the center assembly of the cutting element.
