HARVESTERS, HARVESTING HEADERS, AND METHODS OF OPERATING AGRICULTURAL MACHINES USING CROP LIFTERS
A harvesting header includes a header frame, at least one cutting tool carried by the header frame, and at least one crop lifter extending forward of the cutting tool. The crop lifter is coupled to the header frame by a rotatable arm. At least one sensor coupled to the crop lifter is configured to measure an angle of the rotatable arm relative to the header frame. A crop-harvesting machine includes a chassis, a feederhouse, a processing system, a grain bin, a harvesting header, and a control system configured to adjust a position of the harvesting header based at least in part on the measured angle of the rotatable arm. A method of operating a crop-harvesting machine includes determining an angle of the rotatable arm of the crop lifter relative to the header frame and adjusting a height of the harvesting header based at least in part on the angle.

REEL FINGER
A reel for use in an agricultural header has an axis of rotation and comprises a bat and a finger. The bat is mounted to rotate around the axis of rotation to gather crop, and has a non-circular cross-sectional profile. The finger is mounted to the bat to rotate with the bat around the axis of rotation to gather crop. The finger comprises a tine and a clamshell mount to which the tine is coupled and that surrounds the bat to mount the finger to the bat against rotation about the bat.
EAR LIFTER FOR CROPS
Ear lifter for crops having a support bar, wherein the support bar extends in a major direction of extension and has a fastening portion, a middle portion and a skid portion arranged one after the other in the major direction of extension.

Preventing damage from dislodged crop saving accessories
An attachment system for attaching a crop saving accessory to a cutting header where the cutting header comprises a knife mounted along a lower front edge thereof and a discharge opening in a middle rear portion thereof. The header cuts plants and moves the plants laterally to the discharge opening where the plants move rearward through the discharge opening. The system comprises an accessory engagement mechanism on a rear portion of the crop saving accessory configured to engage a header engagement mechanism mounted on the cutting header. A first end of a tether is attached to the crop saving accessory and a second end of the tether is adapted for attachment to a tether location on the cutting header. The tether is configured such that when the accessory engagement mechanism is disengaged from the header engagement mechanism, the tether prevents the crop saving accessory from moving through the discharge opening.
