Edging and vegetation guard for chain link fences
An edging and vegetation guard assembly includes at least one pair of elongate first and second base members each having a vertical front wall with a generally rectangular upper portion that are installed on opposed sides of the bottom of a chain link or wire mesh fence in parallel opposed relation and form a generally rectangular enclosure along the bottom of the fence which is filled with foam insulation material for preventing a mower or line of an edger from striking the fence when mowing or edging adjacent to it, and inhibit the undesirable growth of vegetation below the bottom of the fence and between the open spaces adjacent to the bottom of the fence.
Edger having connection surfaces
An edging unit comprises a structure having opposed top and bottom surfaces, opposed first and second side surfaces extending between the opposed top and bottom surfaces, and opposed first and second end surfaces extending between the opposed top and bottom surfaces and between the first and second side surfaces. The top surface comprises at least one pair of opposed segments. Each pair of segments includes first and second segments respectively opposing one another with respect to a center of the edging unit. The first segment defines a first upward or downward slope between the first side surface and the second side surface and the second segment defines a second upward or downward slope between the first side surface and the second side surface generally opposite in direction to the first slope.
PLANT SURROUND
In one aspect of the invention there is provided a plant surround for forming a water retaining barrier around a plant, including a curved generally elongate body having opposing ends including cooperating engagement members that are configured to reversibly engage to thereby delineate said water retaining barrier and a locking member attached to said elongate body and configured to inhibit complete or partial disengagement of said opposing ends of the body. In other aspects, there is provided a biodegradable plant surround and a plant surround including irrigation hose engaging tabs.
Apparatuses and Methods for Forming Concrete Curbing
A specialized curb forming tool and a method of using the tool to simply and easily create custom concrete curbing of any shape and length without complicated equipment or specialized expertise.
GARDENING BARRIER
A gardening barrier system and associated methods is disclosed. The system may include molded panels made from an aggregate material. Each panel may have a display side with a façade resembling a wall of vertically stacked and offset pieces of wall building materials and a protrusion at an end of the panel resembling an offset piece of the wall and the wall building materials. The protrusion can include a rounded end to allow adjacent panels to be assembled at an infinitely adjustable angle relative to one another. The protrusion can be sized to minimize a gap between adjacent panels and the rounded end can be sized to approximate a size of a rounded edge of the wall building materials of the façade to minimize an appearance of a transition between adjacent panels.
Edging guide
An edging guide may include an anchor and a retainer that may be rotatably mounted to the anchor. The anchor may be buried in the ground during use and may include a post portion and a support portion. The retainer may be rotatably mounted to the support of the anchor and may function to secure hold one or more lengths of edging material.
Landscape Edging Stake and Method
A landscape edging stake includes a driving end, a penetration end and an edging engagement portion positioned between the driving end and the penetration end. The edging engagement portion includes a rib configured to engage an inner wall of an anchoring bore of an edging link. A ground engagement portion is positioned between the edging engagement portion and the penetration end and includes a helical groove or thread.
Connector Block For Assembling a Garden Bed or a Planter Box
A connector block is provided, for joining boards of a garden bed or of a planter box. The connector block has a top face, a bottom face and four lateral faces, each face being provided with a slot for receiving the extremity of a board. The connector block is also provided with a through hole extending from the top face to the bottom face for receiving a grounding rod bar.
Fence vegetation barrier
A vegetation barrier for use beneath a fence to inhibit the growth of vegetation beneath said fence includes two vegetation barrier members and an intermediate member. Each vegetation barrier member is joinable to a fence post at one end and engages an intermediate member at the opposite end through longitudinally slidable engagement, allowing the vegetation barrier to readily accommodate uneven spacing between fence posts and further allowing the vegetation barrier to expand and contract. The vegetation barrier member and/or the intermediate member may further comprise elongated openings that allow the vegetation barrier to be secured to an underlying surface by a securement member that passes through the elongated opening and into the underlying surface, while still allowing for expansion and contraction of the vegetation barrier. Further provided are methods of covering a surface beneath a fence using said vegetation barrier.
Landscaping border segment
A landscaping border segment includes about two dozen rigid unit pieces arranged in a series and held together with top end base elastic joining members. Male and female connection features are mounted at opposite ends of the landscaping border segment. A plurality of ground penetrating stakes extend away from a ground contact surface. The landscaping border segment may assume a straight configuration in which the rigid unit pieces are held apart from one another by the elastic joining members, but may also assume a continuum of curved configurations. A landscaping border may be created by joining a plurality of landscaping border segments end to end in a series.
