PLANT COVER WITH INSECT RESISTANT BAG FOR ENCLOSING A PLANT
A plant cover apparatus includes a bag having an interior encompassed by a wall that extends from a top end of the bag and tapers inwardly to a bottom end of the bag. The bottom end includes a rim that laterally circumscribes a plant-receiving opening formed through the bag. The bag has a slot that extends vertically from the opening through the wall. The slot includes opposed margins having cooperatively interlocking parts that can temporarily be joined and separated to increase the size of the opening. The bag may be vertically suspended from a support member positioned next to the plant. An exterior perimeter of the bag may be rigid enough to help the bag maintain its shape when suspended.
PEST BARRIER SYSTEM FOR PLUMBING OF MOBILE VEHICLES
A device useful as a pest barrier system for plumbing of mobile vehicles or plant barrier system is disclosed. The pest barrier system for plumbing of mobile vehicles comprising a pest protection system having a first half, a second half, a lower portions and an upper portions. The lower portions of the pest protection system comprise a lower rim. The upper portions of the pest protection system comprises an upper rim. The lower rim comprises a lower external diameter and a lower internal diameter. The upper rim comprises an upper external diameter. The pest protection system fits within a plumbing compartment of a mobile vehicle at a gap comprising an internal diameter which is smaller than the upper external diameter of the upper rim of the pest protection system. The lower portions of the pest protection system receives a portion of a fluid drainage hose having an external hose diameter.
WATERPROOF AND UV (ULTRAVIOLET) RADIATION BLOCKING PROTECTIVE COVER
Waterproof and UV (ultraviolet) radiation blocking protective cover (1) for hanging fruit, CHARACTERIZED by a sheet (10) made of an expanded polyethylene material that blocks ultraviolet radiation (EPE-UV), whose shape is a flat geometric figure, with a main straight cut (11) running from the midpoint to the edge of the sheet and an arrangement of cuts and grooves that make up the attachment system when the cover is fitted on the fruit.
System and method for tree growth management
A system having an elongated body defining a hollow passageway therethrough, which includes as a first opening disposed about a longitudinal upper half of the elongated body, and at least two second openings disposed about longitudinal side zones of the elongated body, wherein each of the at least two second opening has an area of between 80 and 700 cm.sup.2.
Adhesive Membrane Used To Preserve The Fresh Cut Characteristics Of A Christmas Tree Base
A membrane for covering the cut end of a tree trunk to prevent the tree from creating a seal after it has been cut. The membrane is attachable to the cut end surface of the tree trunk and includes a hydrating layer comprising a hydrogel. The hydrogel, made up primarily of water, adheres to the cut end surface of the tree trunk to continue hydrating the tree, and prevents air from reaching the tree's exposed transport tissue. In some embodiments, the membrane includes a backing layer and a release layer on opposite sides of the hydrating layer.
Modular cell and matrix for supporting a load bearing feature
A modular cell that may be used with other cells to form a matrix under a load bearing feature, the cell being a single piece molding that supports a compressive load placed thereon, the molding including a void space defined within: a skirt shaped support member defining a substantially planar surface with an opening therein; and at least one leg integral to and extending from the support member. The cell further includes at least one separate linking member that releasably links together multiple cells to form a matrix of cells. The cells may be linked together vertically and/or horizontally. The cell and matrix include greater load bearing capacity and rigidity through aligned legs to carry the weight as well as interlinking members that act to share the load among the various cells. The design also requires less material hence is cheaper to produce. The void space is also easily accessed hence allowing for easy access, filling and laying of utility lines where needed.
More efficient structural cell for facilitating tree root growth
A structural cell system for supporting hardscape, allowing tree root growth, and managing stormwater underneath the hardscape. The system may include: a base having a plurality of receptacles and a plurality of support members interconnecting the receptacles; a plurality of legs each sized and shaped to be attachable to the base within one of the receptacles so as to extend from the base, and to be attachable to another of the legs so that pairs of legs attached to each other collectively extend from the base; and a top attachable to the legs. Outer edges of the base, the top, and the legs attached thereto define a volume, and are configured to support at least that portion of the hardscape overlying the top as well as a commercial vehicle traffic load thereon, while maintaining soil in a substantially uncompacted state throughout at least approximately ninety percent of the volume.
ENCAPSULATED AND SEGREGATED GROWTH CONTAINERS
An agricultural yield pod or agricultural yield pad with holed root membrane overlay. The agricultural yield pod encloses soil and vegetation in the soil. The top of the agricultural yield pod is closed except for at least one water and nutrition port and at least one vegetation growth port (or neck). The trunk of the vegetation passes through the at least one vegetation growth port (or neck). The agricultural yield pad is closed by the holed root membrane overlay and contains soil and vegetation in the soil. The trunk of the vegetation passes through the holes in the holed root membrane overlay. Root direction channels 38 may be beneath the overlay.
Ultraviolet Radiation Blocking Sheet
An ultraviolet radiation blocking sheet for blocking ultraviolet radiation while allowing passage of visible light includes a film that is substantially transparent to light that has a wavelength of 495 to 570 nanometers. The film also is substantially absorbent of light that has a wavelength shorter than 495 nanometers. The film is configured to position between a light source and an object to be protected from ultraviolet radiation. The film absorbs the ultraviolet radiation emitted from the light source while allowing light that has a wavelength of 495 to 570 nanometers to pass through the film to illuminate the object.
Expandable, configurable, disassemblable structure for creating barriers or enclosures for landscaping
A frame includes a first frame assembly, where the first frame assembly includes an arm member having a first and second end, a leg member having a first and second end, a first fitting connecting the first end of the arm and leg members at an angle, and a flexible panel fastened to the arm and leg members. A method of building a frame includes assembling a first frame assembly by connecting a first end of an arm member having a first and second end with a first end of a leg member having a first and second end, at an angle using a first fitting, and fastening a first flexible panel to the arm and leg members.
