Outward angled plant support system, method, and apparatus
The present invention provides structures that maximize the use of minimal ground space or pot soil by providing generally vertical outward-sloping multiple cords or net trellis such as to offer increasing volume for plant foliage with height, which is adjustable to the user's desire. A compact kit includes at least two elongated leg member, and at least one elongated support, and can be assembled into structures up to approximately twice as wide at the top as at the base where the plants begin growing in soil. Flaccid replaceable cords when installed incline generally outward and upward to top horizontal rods supporting wining plants to grow generally vertically and even horizontally across the top.
ELONGATED SHEET FOR COVERING AGRICULTURAL CULTIVATED PLANTS
The present invention relates to an elongated sheet (1) for covering agricultural cultivated plants (2) for generating a greenhouse climate in the covered area, having an elongated basic film (3) made of plastic, wherein a ventilation area (5) extending in the longitudinal direction (L) of the sheet is provided in the central area of the basic film (4) and having a plurality of ventilation openings (6), wherein a cover film (9) of plastic extending in longitudinal sheet direction (L) of the basic film (3) is applied to the ventilation area (5) forming free spaces (11) for air exchange and is firmly welded to the basic film (3) via a plurality of connection areas (10) following one another in longitudinal sheet direction (L). In accordance with the invention, it is provided that the material and/or the quality of the cover film (9) is selected in such a manner that the cover film (9), in a first state, lies flat against and/or on the upper side of the basic film (3) at least substantially in the region of the free spaces (11) and, preferably by convection of the heated air in the covered area, in a second state at least partially lifts off relative to the upper side of the basic film (3) forming free spaces (11), wherein the first state is maintained up to a transition temperature Ti of the greenhouse climate and wherein the second state is obtained and/or realized from the transition temperature Ti of the greenhouse climate.
DETERRENT BARRIER FOR THE PROTECCION OF DEVEOPING FRUITS AND VEGETABLES HANGING FROM PLANTS AGAINST BIRDS, RODENTS SQUIREELS MANY INSECTS AND OTHER PESTS
The device would be a spherical-shaped case made of lightweight, clear plastic. It would consist of two-pieces with hinges on the upper, middle and lower back area that would enable the user to easily clamp the device around each developing fruit or vegetable attached to a plant, while it is in the early stage of growth. The device would have a stem opening made of soft rubber split in 2 halves and a protective foam cushion, also split in 2 halves, on one end that would allow it to be attached safely and securely over the stem without crushing it. The plastic case would contain a plurality of ventilation apertures. The device could be injection molded from clear plastic, such as Polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The stem entry can be made of flexible weather resistant rubber and the foam insert could be molded from polyurethane foam or foam rubber.
Raised Bed Planter
A bed for planting in is disclosed. The bed includes panels for creating a frame. A liner, comprising a rip-resistant material, that fits within the frame and is attached thereto. Each panel includes spaces to access the liner. The material of the liner permits slits to be made in it without the slit expanding. Any slits made in the liner are located in the spaces within the panels. The liner is filled with grow medium. Plants are planted in the grow medium and grow out of the upper surface of the grow medium in the liner. Slits are placed in the liner, and plants are placed in the grow medium to grow through the slits. A method for creating a bed to plant in is also disclosed
Apparatus for growing plants
An apparatus for growing plants (100) is provided. The apparatus comprises at least one base member (110) having a periphery (112), at least one cover member, or wall member (120), having at least one channel (122a, 122b), and at least one intermediate filter (170) operable to be supported by the at least one cover member (120). The one or more cover members (120) are couplable to the periphery (112) of the at least one base member for providing a hollow space (140), and the at least one channel is operable to receive at least one tubular member (160, 162) supported at a distance from the at least one base member. The at least one intermediate filter is arranged for dividing the hollow space into at least two segments (172, 174). The apparatus is optionally operable to provide irrigation of one or more plants growing therein from seawater supplied to a bottom region of the apparatus.
ELONGATED SHEET FOR COVERING CULTIVATED PLANTS
The present invention concerns an elongated sheet (1) for covering cultivated plants (2), with a basic film (3) of plastic,
wherein a ventilation area (5) extending in the longitudinal sheet direction (L) and having a plurality of ventilation openings (6) is provided in the central area (4) of the basic film (3),
wherein at least one ventilation opening (6) comprises two opposite corners (29, 20) of the ventilation opening (6) in a cross direction (Q) of the sheet (1) extending at least substantially orthogonally to the longitudinal sheet direction (L).
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IN-SITU AMELIORATIONREMEDIATION OF SALINE-ALKALI SOIL USING MICROALGAE
A system and method for in-situ amelioration of saline-alkali soil using microalgae. Sewage and microalgal seeds are pumped into an microalgae growth pond for growing microalgae, and online equipment is used for monitoring the level of nutrients in the pond. When the microalgae reach the stationary phase of their growth, the screen mesh is lifted to separate microalgae from liquid, so that they are conveniently harvested by scraping. The harvested microalgae are returned to the soil as a soil ameliorant.
Plant Protector
A plant protector includes four wall parts, which are connected to one another to form a tube shaped like the jacket of a prism. In this case, the wall parts are connected to one another up to one edge of the plant protector, so that the wall parts can pivot relative to one another in order to form the tube. The edges of the wall parts initially not connected to one another and adjoining the other edge of the plant protector are connected to one another using plug-in connections. The wall parts and the other components of the plant protector can consist of pressed wood fibers and/or wood shavings.
Plant irrigation device
A plant irrigation device includes a support that surrounds a plant and provides an opening through which the plant extends. A drip tube is attached to the support and connectable to a water source. The drip tube has a series of spaced apart apertures or water emitters along a length thereof permitting water to exit the drip tube and into the ground surrounding the plant.
