Resilient Plant Development Media
Abstract: Resilient plant development media are disclosed that can include a first layer that includes a plurality of adjacent strands, a second layer that includes a plurality of strands that are adjacent and that is in stacked relation relative to the first layer, wherein the strands of the first layer and the strands of the second layer are in a non-aligned orientation relative to each other. The strands in the first layer and the strands in the second layer may define a crisscross pattern. The multilayer resilient media is effective in supporting seeds during germination and plants throughout their growth and development. The multilayer resilient media is effective for use in various plant growing modalities, e.g., aeroponic, nutrient film, and hydroponic plant growing environments, and may be easily cleaned for reuse.

Method of growing plants
A method of growing plants in a coherent growth substrate product is provided and includes: providing at least one coherent growth substrate product comprising man-made vitreous fibres (MMVF) bonded with a cured aqueous binder composition; positioning one or more seeds, seedlings, cuttings or plants in contact with the growth substrate product; and irrigating the growth substrate product. The aqueous binder composition prior to curing includes a component (i) in the form of one or more oxidized lignins, a component (ii) in the form of one or more cross-linkers, and a component (iii) in the form of one or more plasticizers.
High density plant growth systems and methods
Systems and methods for vertical farming that reduce the deployment cost, operational costs of human labor, and overall use of energy intensive processes, such as lighting, heating and cooling, and ventilation, while increasing crop quality and yield. This reduction is achieved through a hybrid system that alternates natural light, temperature, and ventilation sources with system-controlled lighting, temperature, and ventilation means. The system includes a germination module that allows seeds to germinal on a horizontal substrate, a growth module that provides optimal growth conditions to the germinated seed on the substrate in a vertical position, and a dosing module that controls the micronutrient mixture supplied to the growing plants.
Vertical hydroponic plant production apparatus
A hydroponic plant production apparatus comprising: a hollow grow tube with a slot formed in the front face of the grow tube, and a matrix media insert composed of two halves, where the media is insertable into the grow tube, allowing plants to be inserted and grown between the two halves of the matrix media insert in the grow tube. Methods for use of a hollow grow tube with a slot formed in the front face of the grow tube, and a matrix media insert composed of two halves, where the media is insertable into the grow tube, allowing plants to be inserted and grown between the two halves of the matrix media insert in the grow tube.
SEEDING AND/OR PLANTING SYSTEM
A seed and/or plant system contains a strand-shaped seed and/or plant carrier suspended on a mounting. The seed and/or plant carrier contains several seed and/or plant locations with seeds and/or plants arranged spaced apart from each other in its longitudinal extension. The seeds and/or the plants are supplied with a liquid via a supply tube. In order for the seed and/or plant locations in the seed and/or plant system to be provided at a distance from one another definable by the manufacturer of the seed and/or plant system in a simple manner, a sleeve is provided on each of the seed and/or plant locations, from which a substrate with the seed and/or the plant is received or receivable and/or which at least partially forms a substrate for the seed and/or the plant, wherein the sleeve is formed from the or around the seed and/or plant carrier.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING OXIDIZED LIGNINS AND SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING OXIDIZED LIGNINS
The invention relates to a method for producing oxidized lignins.
VERTICAL HYDROPONIC TOWER ARRAY FIXTURE SYSTEM
A modular hydroponic tower array fixture system for the growth of organisms such as plants and fungi on arrays of hydroponic towers, allowing for the insertion and removal of individual towers from the array, is provided. Methods for the production of organisms such as plants and fungi using a modular hydroponic tower array fixture system are also provided herein.
