MULTIPURPOSE TOOL
A multipurpose tool, such as a pruning shear that incorporates a pruning saw into a single handheld tool. The pruning shear includes pruning handles with a folding saw blade that pivotally deploys from a stowed position within one of the pruning handles to an extended operational position.
Multipurpose handle and workpiece attachment tool
A multipurpose handle and workpiece attachment tool (10, 12, 14) has a handle (16) and a workpiece (18). The handle has a grip portion (20) at a first end and a first attachment portion (22) at a second end. The workpiece has a second attachment portion (24) adapted to engage the first attachment portion of the handle. The first attachment portion has a sleeve (26) with an opening (30) which can receive the second attachment portion. The sleeve has a clip-lock aperture (32) and a cam-lock aperture (34), and there is a cam clamping lever (28) pivotally connected to the sleeve. The cam clamping lever has an eccentric cam surface (36) which can be moved into and out of the cam-lock aperture by operating the cam clamping lever. The second attachment portion has a first spring loaded button (38a, 38b, 42a) which is spring biased to move into the clip-lock aperture when the first and second attachment portions are engaged, and also has a cam engaging surface (40) against which the eccentric cam surface is pressed when the cam clamping lever is operated. In this way, the handle and the workpiece assume a locked configuration.
POLE SAW
A pole saw, including a cutting assembly and a support assembly. The cutting assembly includes a serrated cutter and a sheath rotatably connected thereto. The sheath is provided with a groove for accommodating the serrated cutter. The serrated cutter can rotate with respect to the sheath to move into or out of the groove to be sheathed or exposed. The sheath is detachably arranged on the support assembly.
BRANCH CUTTING SAW
A branch cutting saw is provided which can easily and reliably cut thin and thick branches, branches in places difficult to reach with shears, branches in dense areas, and the like. The branch cutting saw is for cutting a branch by hooking a hook section 22 onto the branch and advancing and retreating a saw blade section 11 while urging the branch toward the saw blade section 11. The hook section 22 is pivotally supported at a leading end of a sheath body 20 and is under spring bias to have a hook section steady-state position Fs in a longitudinal region Rf of the sheath body 20, and is configured to be rotationally displaced from the hook section steady-state position Fs when a load equivalent to or greater than the spring bias is applied against the spring bias. The saw blade section 11 of a saw body 10 is under spring bias to have a saw blade section steady-state position Ns at a position where a tip end of the saw blade section is retreated from the hook section 22, and is configured such that the saw blade section 11 is advanced from the saw blade section steady-state position Ns when the grip section of the saw body is manipulated against the spring bias.
Pruning device with removable saw blade
A pruning device comprises a pair of cooperating blades that are pivoted together and handle parts movable to and from each other for a user to operate the cooperating blades. A saw blade part is attachable to and detachable from the device by a user. When the saw blade part is attached to the device the handle parts and cooperating blades are retained in a substantially fixed position relative to each other. When the saw blade part is detached from the device the handle parts and cooperating blades are movable relative to each other.
EXTENSION POLE SYSTEM AND FOOT BRACE THEREFOR
An extension pole system includes an extension pole and a foot brace coupled to a lower end of the extension pole. The upper end of the extension pole is configured to releasably couple to an attachment. The foot brace is configured to receive a foot of a user. The extension pole is comprised of a plurality of extension sections and a plurality of locking collars configured to releasably lock the extension sections in place. Each extension section is slidably engaged with at least one adjacent extension section, wherein the extension pole is configured to transition between a collapsed orientation and an extended orientation. Applying downward force on a base portion of the foot brace is configured to stabilize the extension pole in the vertical position, wherein the user is able to use both of his/her hands to transition the extension pole between the collapsed orientation and the extended orientation.
Modular tools with detachable coupling
A pole saw apparatus includes a saw blade, a pole, and a tubular adapter connecting the saw blade to the pole. The adapter includes an obround blade-receiving end that stably telescopingly engage sides of the blade-receiving end, with bolts fixing the blade on the adapter. The adapter also includes a pole-engaging end that is cylindrically shaped to telescopingly engage the anchoring end of the pole. A friction clamp includes a transverse shaft extending through the pole, the shaft being shaped to slide into longitudinal slots in the pole-engaging end of the adapter and then rotate into circumferential slots where it is not longitudinally removable. A rotatable cam handle on the clamp is manipulated to create circumferential friction to hold (or release) the adapter on the pole. The blade, adapter and pole align along a common centerline for robust and balanced use.
HIGH REACHING PRUNING APPARATUS
A high reaching pruning apparatus is provided. The high reaching pruning apparatus has an elongated telescoping pole, a foot brace and a hook for grasping a tree limb. The high reaching pruning apparatus is suitable for easily pruning and trimming tall trees.
High reaching pruning apparatus
A high reaching pruning apparatus having an elongated telescoping pole, a foot brace and a hook for grasping a tree limb. The high reaching pruning apparatus has an opening in the hook for receiving a saw blade.
