Optimised greenhouse air treatment chamber, and corresponding greenhouse.
An air treatment chamber of a cultivation greenhouse. The air treatment chamber includes: at least one inlet for recycling air, delivering air from at least one cultivation zone of the greenhouse; at least one fresh air inlet, delivering air from outside of the greenhouse; and at least one air outlet for feeding the at least one cultivation zone. The fresh air inlet is formed in a lower part of the chamber. An upper part of the chamber, extending above the air inlet, is equipped with elements for passing light to the interior of the greenhouse.
PLANT CULTIVATION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure relates a plant cultivation apparatus and a water supply control method thereof. The plant cultivation apparatus may perform water supply, lighting, dehumidification and the like to cultivate a plant according to a cultivation condition corresponding to a cultivation stage and a type of the plant provided in a cultivation room.
Greenhouse
Greenhouse comprised of a ridge beam extending some distance above its roof defining two elongated side zones at either side of the ridge beam. The ridge beam is comprised of one or more elongated hollow spaces and with one or more closable openings in both side zones. The openings fluidly connect the exterior of the greenhouse with its interior and may be closed at one side and opened at its other side depending on the direction of the wind.
System for providing controlled environment to grow plants and apparatus therefor
An apparatus and system for growing plants in a controlled environment comprises an enclosure, at least one basket for receiving plant material to be grown in the apparatus, and at least one cassette for receiving a basket therein. The apparatus further comprises a drive mechanism, said drive mechanism operatively coupled to the at least one basket and/or the at least one cassette, that imparts a drive force to cause the at least one basket to rotate in the at least one cassette and in the enclosure. The apparatus and system also include a climate-control mechanism that may include a light source, a fan, a ventilation system, an air passage, and ductwork. The apparatus and system also include a trough with a sump for drainage of the trough, an intake aperture, a baffle, a closure, an air intake sleeve, and an intake fan.
CONTROL APPARATUS
A control apparatus includes: a determiner configured to determine, for each indicator of a plurality of indicators, whether an event relevant to a change in the respective indicator has occurred, the plurality of indicators relating to an environment in which crops are grown, each indicator of the plurality of indicators being detected by one or more sensors of a plurality of sensors; an identifier configured to identify, based on a result of a determination executed by the determiner, a plurality of target sensors from among the plurality of sensors, a number of the plurality of target sensors being less than a number of the plurality of sensors; and a transmission instructor configured to instruct each target sensor of the plurality of target sensors to transmit a respective detection result.
Centralized predictive controller for management and optimal operation of microgrid powered greenhouses
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for a greenhouse indoor environment controller based on model predictive control (MPC), which can be integrated into existing greenhouse regulatory systems to optimally maintain critical climatic variables, including artificial lighting levels, CO.sub.2, indoor temperature, and humidity levels within acceptable limits. The objectives of the MPC may be to maximize the rate of crop photosynthesis while optimizing the use of the available water and energy resources, taking into account the unpredictability and intermittent nature of renewable energies and external atmospheric conditions. Accordingly, certain embodiments may facilitate the management of greenhouses by anticipating control actions for a better quality of production. For that, mathematical formulations of the optimal control problem may be described, and the numerical results related to the application of the MPC to case studies are described integrating the effects of greenhouse structural considerations and the influence of climate data on its operation.
Safety Grow Pod
A grow pod comprises a container having a sprinkler system, a water reclamation system, a climate control system, a control system, a security system and a plant drying system; and a method of water reclamation for subsequent use within the grow pod.
Plant cultivation system using trolley conveyor
A plant cultivation system. The system utilizes a trolley conveyor for transport of plants in plant containers. The trolley conveyor uses straight runs of track connected by curved track portions. The straight runs of track of the trolley conveyor are spaced closely together. The trolley conveyor is used to move plant containers to a workshop for planting, fertilization, watering, cultivation, and harvesting of plants or portions thereof, and for packaging of plants or portions thereof for shipment.
GREENHOUSE
A process for conditioning the air within a greenhouse comprising transparent walls and a structure including one or more ridge beams as part of a roof of the greenhouse. The process comprises maintaining a pressure difference between an average pressure within the greenhouse and a pressure exterior to the greenhouse, taking in air from the exterior of the greenhouse and mixing this air with air taken from the interior of the greenhouse to obtain conditioned air, distributing the conditioned air via a forced flow to the interior of the greenhouse, and discharging a volume of air from the interior of the greenhouse via openings present in the one or more ridge beams such to maintain the pressure difference.
HORTICULTURE SYSTEM AND METHOD
The invention provides a method for sensing a plant-related parameter in a horticulture space (115), wherein (i) a radio transmitter (151) and a radio receiver (152) are arranged such that a radio path (153) between the radio transmitter (151) and the radio receiver (152) passes through at least part of the horticulture space (115), and (ii) the radio receiver (152) is configured in a radio signal receiving relationship with the radio transmitter (151), wherein the method comprises a sensing stage comprising: emitting a radio signal with the radio transmitter (151); detecting the radio signal with the radio receiver (152) and providing a related receiver signal; and determining the plant-related parameter based on the receiver signal.
