A new peach variety (Prunus persica) designated as ‘Vilmos’ is provided. ‘Vilmos’ forms attractive, high quality fruit that matures during the commercially important ‘Andross’ period, and demonstrates a capacity to maintain good on-tree fruit quality for up to 10 days following initial ripening, allowing delayed harvest and economically efficient single harvests. Further, ‘Vilmos’ fruit exhibits the desirable characteristics of being free from the red staining of the pit area of fruit flesh in addition to having low susceptibility to splitting or cracking of the fruit pit during ripening, while also having other desirable fruit characteristics that are substantially similar to ‘Andross’.

Peach tree named ‘May Joy’

A new and distinct cultivar of peach tree, denominated ‘May Joy’, has clingstone, melting, yellow-flesh fruit with normal acidity and pleasant eating quality. The fruit typically are round, ripen approximately 1-2 weeks before ‘Flavorich’ (syn. ‘Rich May’) and 2-3 weeks before ‘Carored’ in early to mid-May in Byron, Ga., and have a high percentage of red blush with an attractive yellow ground color. The tree is moderately vigorous and semi-spreading in growth habit, has self-fertile showy pink flowers, and regularly bears crops in absence of severe spring frost. This cultivar has a winter chilling requirement estimated at approximately 650 chill hours and is suited for medium to high chill areas.

No. 17,742) x ‘Souvenirs’ peach (male parent; U.S. Plant Pat. No. 26,920) is provided. This new peach tree cultivar can be distinguished by its white, low-acid, slow-melting flesh, early-season ripening, attractive appearance, postharvest performance, and resistance to bacterial spot disease.

The fruit typically ripen about a week after ‘Flavorich’ (syn. ‘Rich May’) and a few days before ‘Carored’ in mid to late May at Byron, Ga. The tree has self-fertile showy pink flowers and is moderately vigorous and semi-spreading in growth habit. This cultivar has a winter chilling requirement of approximately 850 chill hours, crops well most years, and is suited for high chill areas.

A new and distinct variety of yellow peach tree denominated ‘CRISPONDA’ has fruits with high eating quality and very long shelf life without alteration before and after harvesting, with a semi-sweet orange yellow flesh, with a pink red pigmentation near the pistil cavity, and an attractive luminous skin with a high percentage of purple red blush on skin surface. This variety is suited for low chill areas.
