Grapevine named SV35-182-214

A new and distinct variety of grapevine plant named ‘SV35-182-214’ particularly characterized by medium sized clusters of green skinned berries which are large, crisp, and sweet with muscat flavor. The vines are very responsive to exogenous gibberellic acid application and trunk girdling which induces a size increase of the berries more than double the natural size. Vines are fruitful when spur pruned to two buds per cane with new shoots producing one or two clusters per shoot.

Grapevine plant named ‘GENSEL 3’

‘GENSEL 3’ is a new and distinct grapevine plant with novel characteristics that include good fertility and excellent fruity labrusca flavor. The berries produced by ‘GENSEL 3’ are reddish black and seedless with a crisp texture and no detectable seed traces. The berries produced by ‘GENSEL 3’ are large, weighing 9 g/berry on average, and harvested at the beginning of August until the end of September in Murcia Region (Spain).

Grapevine plant named ‘Clarion’

The invention is a new and distinct variety of grapevine plant named ‘Clarion’ that is characterized by its grapes with a moderate juice total acidity (average of 7.73 g/L) making it suitable for wine production, its grapes that lack less desirable aromatic compounds that are typical of cold climate hybrid grapes, its grapes with floral notes including lilac and tropical fruit notes, its good growth habit without excessive vigor, and its grapes with a loose cluster architecture.

Powdery Mildew Resistant Grapevine Plant

Provided herein is a powdery mildew resistant grapevine plants and methods for providing powdery mildew resistance to susceptible grapevine plants. Specifically, provided herein are grapevine plants including in their genome an impaired Erysiphe necator resistance conferring gene, wherein the corresponding not impaired Erysiphe necator resistance conferring gene designated VvMLO13 encodes a protein including the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 1, or proteins having 95% sequence identity therewith. The impairment results in an absence of a protein comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 1, or proteins having 95% sequence identity therewith, in the grapevine plant and wherein the grapevine plant is resistant to powdery mildew.

Grapevine named ‘SV35-182-213’

A new and distinct variety of grapevine plant named ‘SV35-182-213’ particularly characterized by its large, crisp, sweet berries with muscat flavor. The natural cluster size is medium, eliminating the need to hand trim the clusters. The vines are very responsive to exogenous gibberellic acid application and trunk girdling and produce berries which are about 30% larger than natural size. Vines are fruitful when spur pruned to two buds per cane with new shoots producing one or two clusters per shoot.

Grapevine plant named ‘SV35-186-427’

A new and distinct variety of grapevine plant named ‘SV35-186-427’ particularly characterized by its very sweet, crisp, red berries with flavor similar to spun sugar. Natural cluster size is medium with well-filled, loose clusters. Fruitfulness is high with shoots on spur pruned vines usually producing two flower clusters per shoot. Vine vigor is very high with canes producing 365.5 cm of growth per shoot.

Grape plant named ‘Dazzle’

Description and specifications of a new and distinct cultivar of grapevine which originated from a hand-pollinated cross of ‘Gewürztraminer’ (female parent) x ‘Melody’ (male parent) made in 1991. The seedlings fruited in the summer of 1992 in a vineyard near Clarksville, Ark. and one was selected for its potential as a wine grape for utilization in the Mid-South of the United States. The original vine was tested as ‘Ark. 2574’. The new cultivar of grapevine is intended for wine production and provides advancements in cold hardiness.
