VARIABLE WIDTH FENCE ENTRY
A variable width fence entry system can include a detachable extension, and a pivotable connection between the detachable extension and a ground anchor or a cattle guard. The detachable extension is releasably secured to the ground anchor or the cattle guard. A method can include releasably securing a detachable extension to a ground anchor or a cattle guard, and releasably securing the detachable extension to a fence. Another variable width fence entry system can include a detachable extension including at least three pipes arranged in a triangular configuration, and a pivotable connection configured to pivotably connect the detachable extension to a ground anchor or a cattle guard, the pivotable connection including at least two pivot sleeves encircling one of the pipes, and the pivot sleeves being configured to releasably attach to the ground anchor or the cattle guard.
Methods, apparatus, and systems for managing objects
A system for managing objects is provided. The system comprises a data collection gateway and a plurality of apparatus. Each of the plurality of apparatus obtains parameters relating to objects in a farm from a server through the data collection gateway. The parameters include a reference threshold weight of the objects. Each of the plurality of apparatus collects weights of the objects through sensors. Also, each of the plurality of apparatus adjusts the reference threshold weight based on the obtained parameters to generate an adjusted threshold weight. Further, each of the plurality of apparatus sorts the objects to different areas in the farm based on the adjusted threshold weight and the collected weights.
Mobile configurable animal trap system
A portable, trapping system for capturing and non-lethally retaining a large number of large animals, such as wild horses or feral hogs. A specialized trailer aligns and secures deployable corral components for transportation. The corral comprises a modular fence erected on-site from multiple fence panels that are hinged together by pinning. The fence panels are configured with voids to prevent animal climbing. A gate with a remotely actuated trap door is similarly pinned between adjacent fence panels. The gate threshold is concealable. Stakes secure panels to the ground, forming a stable enclosure. The trailer comprises a rigid, confining frame structure adapted to constrain and transport corral components. When the corral is disassembled, multiple individual fence panels to be moved are slidably captivated between channels on first and second confining surfaces, being maintained in a parallel and stable configuration during transportation.
Modular Livestock Alley Construction and Strategic Cladding of Livestock Handling Equipment to Optimize Livestock Flow Therethrough
Livestock handling equipment characterized by a modular alley construction employing shared bows with hole-penetrated front and rear faces for fastening of elongated structural beams and coupling of side panels at both of said faces. Longitudinally protruding coupling members on said side panels for engaging said holes include grooved and longitudinally extendable/retractable pivot pins at the bottom ends of the side panels. Selectively mountable/removable cladding members enable convenient strategic customization of cladding coverage to optimize livestock flow via pressure zone techniques, physical intervention and/or light-based attraction, and also enable physical access for inspection and treatment of the animals.
Feed intake system
A feed intake system comprising one or more feeding stations comprising a trough with an animal feeding access, a support frame surrounding the trough, a base frame supporting the trough, a scale unit between the base frame and the support frame enabling the scale unit to weigh the contents of the trough, a station frame with an animal feeding access, a sensor assembly including a sensor or antenna located near the station frame animal feeding access, a control panel and a timestamp generator operationally associated with the sensor assembly and the scale unit, a CPU/processing computer operationally associated with the control panel, one or more animals, each having a RFID tag which transmits RFID signal and tag data, wherein the weight of the feed in the trough is collected and stored in a log file and wherein RFID signal and tag data are collected and stored in a log file.

The trailer comprises a rigid confining frame structure adapted to constrain and transport corral components. When the corral is disassembled, multiple individual fence panels are slidably captivated between spaced apart upper and lower ceiling and floor channels, being maintained in a parallel and stable configuration. Separate upper and lower aligned channels constrain the gate assembly during transportation.
LIVESTOCK RESTRAINING DEVICES, SYSTEMS FOR LIVESTOCK MANAGEMENT, AND USES THEREOF
Tools for smart farming, including devices, management systems and methods of livestock management are provided.
Livestock sorting facility
Systems and methods for sorting livestock including a livestock processing station, a computer network system, and a livestock routing mechanism. The livestock processing station confines the individual livestock, allowing individual livestock data to be collected and analyzed. The computer network system includes a programmable logic controller (PLC) for data input at the livestock processing station and a sorting application coupled to the PLC via a computer network, the sorting application for analyzing individual livestock data and assigning livestock to pens.
ELECTRONIC ANIMAL TAG READER
A reader comprising: a panel; two antennae each associated with a respective race to transmit and/or receive information to/from an electronic animal tag in that respective race; and an electromagnetic shield to impede an antenna from transmitting and/or receiving information to/from an electronic animal tag not located in the respective race of that antenna; a system for reading electronic animal tags comprising: a plurality of readers each located at or near a wall of a respective plurality of races, wherein each reader is at least partially shielded by an electromagnetic shield; each reader being longitudinally offset with respect to at least one other reader in the plurality of readers; and methods of constructing and using a reader.
Livestock force tub with supplemental wall section, auxiliary space and reduced opacity exit-adjacent wall sections
A livestock force tub features a perimeter structure delimiting an interior space of said livestock tub, including a main peripheral wall spanning circumferentially around a central upright axis, an exit situated at or proximate a terminal end of the main peripheral wall and a supplemental wall section at an area adjacent the exit on a side thereof opposite the terminal end of the main peripheral wall. The supplemental wall section increases an angular span of the tub around the central axis to create an auxiliary space beyond the exit. This auxiliary space accommodates a possible uncooperative animal during unloading of the force tub while allowing others to still reach the exit. The supplemental wall section and a terminal section of the main peripheral wall have a lesser opacity than more significantly cladded areas of the main peripheral wall, whereby increased light admission and environmental visibility attract livestock toward the exit.
