CHICK PRODUCTION METHOD AND CHICK PRODUCTION SYSTEM
A new chick production method and a new chick production system are obtained which are different from a conventional method in which all live eggs are collectively accommodated in a hatcher tray to develop chicks. The chick production method of the present invention divides mid-hatch eggs into a plurality of groups based on physical information measured for the mid-hatch eggs during a period from when the eggs are accommodated in a setter tray to when the eggs are transferred to a hatcher tray, and accommodates the mid-hatch eggs in the hatcher tray to develop chicks. In addition, a chick production system of the present invention includes a measurement unit, a sorting unit, and an accommodation unit, and the chicks are developed by each of a plurality of hatcher trays.
Incubator
An incubator (10) includes: (i) a housing (12) defining a chamber (14); (ii) an air inlet (16) for introducing air into the chamber (14); (iii) a first air outlet (18) for discharging air from the chamber (14), the first air outlet (18) being spaced from the air inlet (16); (iv) a stack of operatively vertically spaced first trays (22) disposed within the chamber (14), between the air inlet (16) and the first air outlet (18); and (v) a first means for tilting the stack of first trays (22) on a plane substantially perpendicular to the direction of operative airflow from the air inlet (16) to the first air outlet (18). A stack of operatively vertically spaced first deflectors (26) are disposed operatively upstream of the first trays (22) for, in use, dividing the airflow from the air inlet (16) to the first air outlet (18) into streams of airflow directed over the first trays (22); and the incubator (10) further includes a second means for tilting the first deflectors (26) on a plane substantially perpendicular to the direction of operative airflow from the air inlet (16) to the first air outlet (18), in use to align the first deflectors (26) with the first trays (22).
Poultry and game bird egg incubator
An egg incubator includes a base assembly having a base tray configured to support a plurality of eggs and a motorized egg turner configured to turn the plurality of eggs. The egg turner includes a hub, a first ring concentric with the hub, and a first plurality of spokes extending radially from the hub. Each of the first plurality of spokes is circumferentially-spaced from an adjacent spoke of the first plurality of spokes and includes: a radial member extending from the hub toward the first ring, a first diverging member extending obliquely from the radial member to the first ring, and a second diverging member extending obliquely from the radial member to the first ring. The motorized egg turner also includes a second ring positioned outward from and circumscribing the first ring and a second plurality of spokes extending radially between the inner ring and the outer ring.
APPLICATION OF DRY HYDROGEN PEROXIDE (DHP) GAS TO METHODS OF POULTRY PRODUCTION
An improved poultry production method comprising providing dry hydrogen peroxide (DHP) to poultry eggs, chicks and birds, and devices for providing DHP to poultry production during laying, incubating, hatching, and growing.
Incubator
An incubator includes a housing defining a chamber, an air inlet for introducing air into the chamber, and a first air outlet for discharging air from the chamber. The first air outlet is spaced from the air inlet, and a stack of operatively vertically spaced first trays is disposed within the chamber between the air inlet and the first air outlet. A first tilting mechanism is provided for tilting the stack of first trays on a plane substantially perpendicular to the direction of operative airflow from the air inlet to the first air outlet. A stack of operatively vertically spaced first deflectors are disposed operatively upstream of the first trays for dividing the airflow from the air inlet to the first air outlet into streams of airflow directed over the first trays. The incubator further includes a second tilting mechanism for tilting the first deflectors on a plane substantially perpendicular to the direction of operative airflow from the air inlet to the first air outlet to align the first deflectors with the first trays.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROMOTING PRODUCTION OF MALE EMBRYOS IN EGGS
Provided herein are methods for promoting production of male embryos in avian eggs, utilizing a composition which includes Ginseng extract, Vitamin D and/or folic acid. Further provided are systems for delivering one or more substances for promoting the production of male embryos in avian eggs via a humidity unit of an incubator in which the fertilized avian eggs are incubated.
EGG HATCHING INCUBATOR HAVING REDUCED OPERATIONAL NOISE
Provided herein are egg hatching incubators having a reduced operational noise. In particular, provided are egg hatching incubators configured for affecting or promoting the sex of egg embryos using soundwaves at specific frequencies, wherein the operational noise of the incubator does not interfere with the transmitted soundwaves. Further provided are systems including the incubators and methods of using the same.
Systems and methods for promoting biological responses in incubated eggs
A system and method to promote biological responses within incubated eggs using lighting devices within an incubation chamber. A light supporting device is installed within the incubation chamber in spaced relation to an incubation device housing a plurality of eggs. The light supporting device is positioned to direct light at pre-determined wavelengths into the interior cavity of the incubation device to irradiate the plurality of eggs to promote a biological response within the eggs.
Methods for promoting production of female embryos in eggs
The present invention relates to a method for promoting production of female embryos in fertilized eggs, comprising steps of: incubating said eggs; generating at least one type of energy with a predetermined energy profile; and simultaneously generating a pre-determined profile of a non-energy parameter by means of an energy generation device, applying both energy profile and the non-energy parameter to the eggs; and, collecting the eggs; wherein said method is non-toxic to the embryos, the application of both the energy profile and the non-energy parameter increases the fraction of females in the hatched chicks.
METHOD FOR REDUCING THE NEGATIVE EFFECT OF HEAT ACCLIMATIZATION FOR HATCHING OF POULTRY HATCHING EGG
A method for reducing the negative effect of heat acclimatization for the hatching of a poultry hatching egg is provided. A special light source is used as an ambient light to hatch the poultry hatching egg. The special light source is light-emitting diode (LED) monochromatic blue light with a light intensity of 20 lux to 50 lux and a wavelength of about 450 nm, such that the light can reduce the negative effect of heat acclimatization at a hatching stage of the poultry hatching egg. The method can reduce the levels of oxidation products such as malondialdehyde (MDA) and corticosterone in a chicken embryo during heat acclimatization at the hatching stage of the poultry hatching egg and increase the expression levels of antioxidase and heat shock protein (HSP) genes, and the special light source reduces the metabolic heat production of the chicken embryo.
