20230217904 · 2023-07-13 · ·

A new chick production method and a new chick production system are obtained which are different from a conventional method in which all live eggs are collectively accommodated in a hatcher tray to develop chicks. The chick production method of the present invention divides mid-hatch eggs into a plurality of groups based on physical information measured for the mid-hatch eggs during a period from when the eggs are accommodated in a setter tray to when the eggs are transferred to a hatcher tray, and accommodates the mid-hatch eggs in the hatcher tray to develop chicks. In addition, a chick production system of the present invention includes a measurement unit, a sorting unit, and an accommodation unit, and the chicks are developed by each of a plurality of hatcher trays.

AN EGG LAYING DEVICE

An egg placing machine cassette for receiving eggs to be laid upon a surface. The eggs being received in a two-dimensional array and wherein the cassette comprises a base portion, side walls extending from a first end of the base portion and a lid portion that is connected to a second end of the side walls, that second end being distal from the base portion. The cassette is provided with a first opening mechanism, by which a setter tray is able to be placed inside the cassette. The cassette is further provided with a second opening mechanism, in which the lid portion can be partially and/or progressively opened to allow a predetermined number of eggs to be removed therefrom.

The egg sorting device includes an image data acquisition unit that acquires image data representing an image obtained by photographing an egg; a first determination unit that determines a state of an egg according to image data acquired by the image data acquisition unit by a learning model trained using training data including information indicating a state of an egg and image data related to the egg; and a decision unit that decides a classification of the egg according to a determination result of a state of an egg.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EGG QUALITY CONTROL

Systems and methods for controlling egg quality are provided. An example method can include: moving a plurality of cartons packed with eggs by a conveyor belt; measuring a weight of each carton to decide whether the weight of each carton is within a carton weight tolerance; detecting a moisture level inside the carton to decide whether the moisture level of the carton is within a moisture level tolerance; determining whether a shell of the egg is intact and a volume of egg yolk and white is within a volume tolerance; detecting a color of each egg in the carton to decide whether the colors of the eggs are consistent; measuring a weight of the egg in the carton to determine whether the weight of the egg is within an egg weight tolerance; and measuring a density of the egg to determine whether the egg is within a density tolerance.
