The knife includes an inboard side adapted for attachment to the auger flighting. The exterior cutting side comprises a blade edge therealong for engaging material to be cut; an angled section along a portion of the blade edge, angled upward from horizontal (angled upward from the longitudinal plane of the knife) by X°. A base knife for attachment directly or indirectly to a bottom flight of an auger flighting in also provided.
AGRICULTURAL VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH AN IMPROVED WEIGHING MEANS
An agricultural vehicle including a container, which is mounted on at least one train of wheels, wherein the container rests by way of fixation brackets and load cells or weight sensors, preferably directly, i.e. without use of an intermediate chassis, on one axle or more forming the train of wheels. The vehicle container is mounted on the axle or each of the axles of the train under consideration by way of at least two pairs of load cells, wherein each pair consists of two load cells situated on opposite sides of a vertical plane parallel to the vertical planes containing the axes of the axles of a multi-axle train.
AGRICULTURAL METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING THE METHOD
A method, using an autonomous, unmanned device and a control device, includes the steps of automatically harvesting feed crop in a part of a crop field by means of the autonomous, unmanned device; automatically loading the harvested feed crop directly into a storage space provided on the autonomous, unmanned device without said harvested feed crop contacting the soil; choosing a destination location from a feeding location and a stationary crop processing location; automatically transporting the harvested feed crop from the crop field to the chosen destination location by means of the autonomous, unmanned device; and automatically unloading harvested feed from the storage space of the autonomous, unmanned device at the chosen destination location.
FEEDING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FEEDING ANIMALS
A feeding system for feeding animals, in particular cows, at a feeding place feed from a feed supply including at least one autonomous feeding device having a container for accommodating a batch of feed from the feed supply. The autonomous feeding takes feed held in the container to the feeding place and dispenses it. The feeding system further includes a feed-quantity measuring device for repeatedly measuring a feed-quantity value for the quantity of feed for consumption by the animals at the feeding place, and a control system which receives feed-quantity values from the feed-quantity measuring device measured different measurement instants. The control system stores a plurality of the feed-quantity values in a memory. The control system calculates at least one value of a feed variable at at least one point in time after the last measurement instant, on the basis of the feed-quantity values stored in the memory.
BALE RIPPER ASSEMBLY FOR FEED MIXER APPARATUS
A bale ripper assembly for pulling plant material from a bale may comprise a bale ripper device supportable on an auger of a feed mixer apparatus and having a first face and a second face with a perimeter. The perimeter may include a leading perimeter portion for orienting in a direction of movement of the device when the device is mounted on the auger of the mixer apparatus and the auger is rotated. The leading perimeter portion of the perimeter may include a plurality of sections with each section of the plurality of sections being oriented at an angle with respect to an adjacent said section of the leading perimeter portion. An outboard pair of the sections form an outboard tooth of the bale ripper device. The leading perimeter portion of the perimeter may have an edge face that extends between the first and second faces, and the edge face may be blunt.
ADVANCED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A LIVESTOCK FEED MIXER
A control system for mixing materials for livestock feed including a container that receives the materials, agitators that mix the materials in the container, a driveline that drives the agitators at an output speed with an output torque, a power source that provides an input speed at an input torque, a continuously variable transmission that connects the driveline and the power source and having a hydrostatic loop to provide a speed ratio between the input speed and the output speed, a plurality of sensors positioned between the power source and the agitators that provides mixing signals commensurate to mixing parameters, and an electronic control unit configured to receive the mixing signals, extract mixing parameter values from the mixing signals, and actuate the continuously variable transmission and adjust the speed ratio based on the mixing parameter values to enhance efficiency of the mixing of the materials.
FEEDING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FEEDING NON-HUMAN ANIMALS
A feeding system to feed non-human animals includes a first autonomous mobile device and a second autonomous mobile device. The first autonomous mobile device includes a feed holder to receive feed, a feed mixer to mix the received feed, and a feed dispenser configured to dispense feed to the second autonomous mobile device. The second autonomous mobile device includes a feed holder to receive feed from the first autonomous mobile device.
Mixing screw
An auger for a vertical feed mixer with a lifting surface that is upwardly angle from an inner edge toward an outer edge. A fliting portion to form a part of an auger for a vertical feed mixer, the fliting portion including an outer edge that is positioned higher than a radially positioned inner edge. An auger for a vertical feed mixer that in rotation defines an hourglass shape.
Apparatus for mixing and cutting animal feed and method of operating such an apparatus
An apparatus for mixing and cutting animal feed including a container with a sidewall, a rotary mixing and cutting device positioned inside the container and arranged to be driven by a driving unit. At least one counter element is provided at the sidewall. The apparatus includes a positioning device for moving the counter element between a retracted position and an inserted position, and a control unit to control the positioning device of the counter element and arranged to determine an indication of the amount of instantaneous power consumed by the driving units for driving the rotary mixing and cutting device and to control positioning device based on the determined indication of the amount of instantaneous power.
