A rattle insertion device and method for inserting a rattle into an elastomeric fishing lure that includes having a push rod member with an insertion rod portion, a needle member with a second needle end operably configured to puncture an elastomeric lure and that defines a needle channel with a channel diameter greater than a rod diameter and a needle opening disposed along the needle length. Additionally, the device and method include having a rattle member with a rigid rattle member, sized to be inserted within the needle channel, and that defines a rattle cavity encapsulating one or more rigid noise particle therein that are operably configured to be freely mobile therein. The push rod member is operably configured to translate within the needle channel along a rod translation path to transport the rattle member through the needle channel and out through the needle opening.

Disclosed herein is a multi-sensory fish attractant. The attractant comprises an effervescent component that generates gas by a chemical reaction on contact with water, a glitter component, and further a binding component, such that the effervescent component and glitter components are combined in a mixture and maintained as a single mass until dissolved in water. The disclosed attractant is particularly devoid of any berley, chum, live or prepared bait components. Preferably the attractant is not directly attached to a fishing line or tackle. The glitter component is generally released with the effervescent component when the mixture is dissolved, creating an “attractant zone” to lure fish within proximity of an angler's hooked lure or bait.

Spinnerbait fishing lures equipped with one or more light sources interacting and/or interfacing with one or more polymer light transmission mediums are described herein. The light source optically coupled to the polymer light transmission medium acts to illuminate one or more areas of the spinnerbait lure to enhance the effect of the fishing lure tomaintain its color, color pattern and iridescence.

Spinnerbait fishing lures equipped with one or more light sources interacting and/or interfacing with one or more polymer light transmission mediums are described herein. The light source optically coupled to the polymer light transmission medium acts to illuminate one or more areas of the spinnerbait lure to enhance the effect of the fishing lure tomaintain its color, color pattern and iridescence.

A lure includes a body provided with a cavity inside, an oscillating portion disposed in the cavity which is visible from outside and configured to emit light, and a connecting member made of a polymer elastomer and configured to attach the oscillating portion to the body oscillatably. The polymer elastomer is rubber or thermoplastic elastomer. The connecting member is rod-shaped and the cross-sectional shape of the connecting member is circular, oval or polygonal.
