Interchangeable Insert Arrangement For Fishing Lures
A fishing lure having interchangeable inserts includes a lure body having a front end, a rear end, a left side, a right side, a top side, and a bottom side. At least the left side, but in some embodiments also the right side, includes an insert slot with an opening proximate the rear end. The insert slot has at least one pair of opposing flanges. An insert engages the insert slot and has a catch at a forward end thereof adapted for engaging the snap aperture of the lure body. An outer surface of the insert with a natural attractant is visible through the insert slot between the flanges. The insert is preferably one of many available inserts that all have varying outer surface characteristics, such as color, pattern, texture, attachments, and the like. A fishing lure attachment cooperative with the inserts is used with existing fishing lures.
Method of manufacturing a fishing lure
The mold apparatus disclosed herein is configured for simultaneous communication of a resin having a color and a complementary resin having a complementary color into a mold cavity without intermixing between the resin and the complementary resin in order to form an object wherein the color is essentially separated from the complementary color, in various aspects. In various aspects, the object formed by the mold apparatus may be configured as a fishing lure body, which is a molded portion of a fishing lure. The fishing lure body has a top and a bottom, and the top is of the color and the bottom is of the complementary color, in various aspects. Related methods and manufactures are disclosed.
Fishing lure, fishing lure fabrication method, and fishing method
Fishing lures that can mimic the movement of a fish or crustacean are described. The fishing lures can generate a vibrating action in water and can avoid snagging. In embodiments the fishing lures include a wire section, a blade section, and a main body section. The wire section that extends through one of a plurality of holes in the blade section to a side that faces the main body section. The wire section includes a bent portion, and the wire section extends from the bent portion through another of the plurality of holes of the blade section to the side that faces the main body section. When the fishing lure is pulled forward through water the blade section vibrates around the wire section.
ARTIFICIAL BAIT MATERIAL WITH INTEGRAL TYING THREAD, METHOD OF MAKING AND MOLD
An artificial bait material for use in a simulated bait assembly. The artificial bait material includes a body that is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) such as PLASTISOL. In addition, the artificial bait material include a thread component having a first portion that is formed within the body of the artificial bait material, and a second portion that extends out of and away from the body. In this configuration, for example, the material can be used to form a fly lure by tying the second portion of the thread component directly to the hook or barb of the lure with fly tying thread, without having to wrap either thread around the body of the artificial bait material. As a result, the fly tying thread can be tightly tied to the hook or barb without risk of cutting through the body of the artificial bait material.
FISHING LURE GRAPHIC APPLICATION ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
A fishing lure graphic application assembly includes a reservoir having a bottom wall and a perimeter wall that attached to and extends upwardly from the bottom wall. A dipping system is positioned adjacent to the reservoir and engages a fishing lure blank and a dissolvable film, places the dissolvable film in a quantity of water positioned in the reservoir such that graphic is released onto a surface of the water, extend the fishing lure blank through the graphic such that the graphic adheres to the fishing lure blank, and lifts the fishing lure blank upwardly out of the water.
METHOD FOR MAKING A JIG HEAD HAVING TINSEL INCORPORATED THEREIN
A jig head having tinsel incorporated therein and a method for producing the same are provided. The jig head comprises a jig body, hook, and tinsel. A portion of the hook is secured within the jig body to prevent removal of the hook. A portion of the tinsel is also contained within said jig body and projected out of said jig body at the hook end. The tinsel is angled out of the jig to clear a soft bait secured to the hook, allowing the tinsel to move in a desired fashion as the jig head moves through water. Body material is kept within a specific temperature range to ensure that the tinsel does not melt as the jig body is molded. A paint layer and adhesive layer are further applied to increase durability of the tinsel at the point in which it is secured to the jig body.
RESIN COMPOSITION FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL SHAPING, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONALLY SHAPED OBJECT, AND THREE-DIMENSIONALLY SHAPED OBJECT
To provide a resin composition for three-dimensional shaping. The resin composition includes a polyfunctional urethane (meth) acrylate having a molecular weight of 700 or greater and 1,300 or less.
FISHING BAIT FORMING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
A fishing bait forming assembly and method for facilitating baiting gelatinous bait includes a housing enclosing an interior space and having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The housing is elongated from a first end to a second end, and the first and second ends are open. A bait form is mounted to the housing and compresses a portion of the gelatinous bait to form a compacted bait mass. A hook slot extends through the first end of the housing and through the exterior surface and the interior surface of the housing.
Fishing lure injection molding using additive manufacturing
A molding device for producing thermoplastic articles and its method of use, wherein the molding device comprises a rigid bottom plate, a rigid top plate adapted to be removably coupled to the said bottom plate, a 3D-printed die or insert in the shape of half of the said article removably inserted into a CNC milled mold cavity. The molten thermoplastic material is injected in to the molding device through an injection port to form the thermoplastic in the shape of 3D-printed die or insert, wherein the thermoplastic article is a fishing lure.
