INTERNAL LINE TELESCOPIC FISHING ROD
A fishing rod includes at least three telescopic sections: a first section, N0, a last tip section, and an intermediate section. The first section defines a line input passage on the periphery thereof. The rod goes from fully retracted to deployed positions, and a semi-retracted position, called the line input position, in which section N0+i, i≥1, is deployed with respect to section N0 and in which the tip is received into such section. A first retainer abuts, in the semi-retracted position, against the tip to retain the tip with respect to section and prevent it from reaching the line input passage. A second retainer holds the tip in the semi-retracted position when subjected to forces of less than 10 N tending to move it away from section N0, in a location at less than 30 centimetres, from a position of abutment against the first retainer.
Modular fishing rod system
A modular component fishing rod system that allows the end user to easily and securely change one or more of the handle portion and rod blank. The system includes a rod blank, rod sleeve assembly and a slide-on handle assembly. The rod sleeve assembly performs at least three functions including: 1) truing up the taper of the fishing rod blank to allow components of the handle assembly to be slid onto the rod blank from the butt end; 2) providing an indexing or key feature which registers with the handle assembly to maintain proper alignment between the handle assembly and rod blank; and 3) providing a method to attach the handle assembly to the rod sleeve. The handle assembly includes a corresponding female sleeve that mates with and preferably slides over the rod sleeve assembly and performs at least three functions including: 1) attaching a handle tube which includes a handle grip and reel seat to a the rod sleeve assembly; 2) matching indexing features; and 3) fixing the handle assembly to the rod sleeve assembly through one of a number of possible fastener assemblies.

Fishing assembly
A fishing device adapted to be used hands-free and generate an alert when a fish is hooked is ideally suited to be used in confined spaces such as an ice fishing shelter.
Outrigger kit for fishing
This invention provides an outrigger assembly for fishing that can be quickly deployed from a portable bag about 1 meter long into a fully rigged outrigger in a selected length of 4 meters, 5 meters or 6 meters. Variable length is obtained by adding sections of telescoping pole. Quick deployment is obtained by using detachable line guides that are radially (or side) threadable in conjunction with a separate preassembled outrigger line loop for each deployed length. Different length outrigger line loop assemblies are color coded for quick identification. Stowed length and volume of the collapsed telescoping pole is minimized by the use of outrigger line guides that are removable from the outrigger pole. Threading and unthreading of an outrigger line loop without opening the loop is enabled by the radially threadable line guides. The invention also provides an outrigger holder having two sockets, one for the outrigger and one for a fishing pole.
LOCKING TELESCOPIC FISHING ROD
A locking telescopic fishing rod includes a plurality of telescoping sections; a plurality of locking guide frames, one of which is secured to each rod section, each locking guide frame having a generally tubular body with a first end and a second end; the second end forming a male portion of a connection; and wherein male connection portion of a first locking guide frame for a distal rod section is configured to engage one of the inner diameter of a distal tip for an adjacent proximal rod section or the first end of a second locking guide frame, the distal tip for the adjacent proximal rod section or the first end of the second locking guide frame forming a female portion of the connection.

Fishing pole scabbard
A fishing rod scabbard has a plurality of segments connected in an end-to-end manner to achieve a desired length from a wide variety of scabbard length possibilities. Each segment has a similar cross-sectional geometry and a bumper connector that enables end-to-end engagement between adjacent segments. A sleeved, tubular ramped passageway in longitudinal axial alignment with the tubular passageways of adjacent segments allows safe storage and transport of a fishing rod having a reel, bait, hook, and tackle on the pole. When not in use, the segments telescope together and nest within each other in a proximal end assembly between the proximal end and the distal end. Each bumper connector provides an assembly to secure adjacent segments together and to hold the segments in place when the scabbard is not in use.
Outrigger clamp with attachment point
An outrigger clamp to couple together two or more nestable tubes. The clamp includes a guide for retaining filament, and an attachment point for receiving accessories without interfering with the filament and guides. The guide and attachment point can rotate about an axis based on the forces applied to the outrigger to better align the filament and guides, and therefore align the forces applied to the outrigger and filament. The retainer can be, for example, one or more rollers that help prevent the filament from becoming creased or kinked during use.
