BRAKING DEVICE THAT BRAKES SPOOL AND FISHING REEL PROVIDED WITH THE SAME
A braking device of a double bearing reel that brakes a spool rotatably mounted on a reel body of a double bearing reel on which a fishing line may be wound, the braking device provided with a braked unit attached to the spool, a braking unit that applies a braking force to the braked unit, an adjustment unit capable of adjusting the braking force of the braking unit, a control unit that controls the adjustment unit, a power supply unit that supplies electric power to the control unit, and a remaining amount detection unit that detects a remaining amount of the power supply unit, in which the control unit adjusts the adjustment unit to achieve a predetermined braking force value or sets a predetermined braking force value to a set value in a case where the remaining amount of the power supply becomes a predetermined value or smaller.
Magnetic casting brake
The magnetic casting brake hereof provides little magnetic brake force at the start of a cast by providing magnets on a curved cam able to rotate with the spool and move closer to the spool to achieve sufficient brake force to avoid a backlash. When the cast is finished, and one begins to retrieve the bait, the magnets rotate back to a minimum position so that retrieval will be lighter, and the feel of the lure will be increased. The casting brake will also include an off position to provide free spool.
MAGNETIC BRAKING MECHANISM, BAIT CASTING REEL AND FISHING TOOL
Disclosed is a magnetic braking mechanism which includes a spool, a magnetic braking assembly arranged on a side of the spool, the magnetic braking assembly includes a magnet assembly for generating magnetic induction lines and a centrifugal adjusting assembly for automatically adjusting a spacing between the magnet assembly and an inner wall of the spool according to a rotation speed of the spool, so as to adjust range of the magnetic induction lines cut by the spool, thereby automatically adjusting magnitude of a braking force. The centrifugal adjusting assembly allows the magnet assembly to move close to or away from the inner wall of the spool in the radial direction, so as to control strength of the magnetic induction lines near the inner wall of the spool, thereby adjusting the magnitude of the breaking force. Further disclosed are a bait casting reel and a fishing tool.
Spool braking device using eddy current and fishing reel having same
Provided are a spool braking device and a fishing reel equipped with the spool braking device. In the spool braking device, a magnet holder with a magnet moves toward an axial direction of a spool using eddy current and thus controls a rotational speed of the spool through a varying magnetic force acting on a braking plate of the spool. The spool braking device is capable of preventing a decrease in a distance a lure travels during casting when the spool is rotated at a low speed and preventing a backlash phenomenon through a braking operation suitable for high-speed rotation of the spool.
BAIT CASTING REEL
Provided is a bait casting reel including braking magnets that provide braking force against rotation of a spool using magnetic force to prevent backlash of the spool in casting. The bait casting reel allows a user to minimally space a spool and an anti-backlash unit to set the maximum braking force of a braking magnet by bringing the spool and the anti-backlasher in contact with each other when a braking dial for moving the anti-backlasher left and right in the longitudinal direction of the spool is turned to the maximum, in order to prevent the braking magnet from being worn or damaged by coming in contact with the spool due to deformation of the rotary shaft of the spool or a friction washer and to allow the user to freely and easily adjust the braking force of the braking magnet without replacing a part.
Dual-bearing reel
A dual-bearing reel includes a reel body, a spool rotatably held between side plates, and a brake unit configured to brake the spool. The brake unit includes a cover portion, a first regulator and a second regulator. The cover portion has a first circumferential part and a second circumferential part, and is mounted to the reel body. The first regulator and the second regulator are covered with the cover portion. The first circumferential part has a first opening exposing at least a part of the first regulator therethrough, whereas the second circumferential part has a second opening exposing at least a part of the second regulator therethrough. The reel body has a first restriction part covering the first opening.
