A rattle insertion device and method for inserting a rattle into an elastomeric fishing lure that includes having a push rod member with an insertion rod portion, a needle member with a second needle end operably configured to puncture an elastomeric lure and that defines a needle channel with a channel diameter greater than a rod diameter and a needle opening disposed along the needle length. Additionally, the device and method include having a rattle member with a rigid rattle member, sized to be inserted within the needle channel, and that defines a rattle cavity encapsulating one or more rigid noise particle therein that are operably configured to be freely mobile therein. The push rod member is operably configured to translate within the needle channel along a rod translation path to transport the rattle member through the needle channel and out through the needle opening.

A berley dispenser, including a container to store berley, a homogenizer within the container to form a homogenized berley from one or more predetermined homogenized berley settings where each setting corresponds to a particular fish type, a discharge port to discharge the homogenized berley, and a controller to control the homogenization of the berley by the selection of the one or more predetermined homogenized berley settings to form the homogenized berley and control the discharge of the homogenized berley. A live bait dispenser allows for easy hooking of fish bait without requiring the user to contact the bait. The apparatus includes a storage region, for containing the bait, and a dispensing region, in fluid communication with the storage region, for the bait to position for easy hooking and dispensing. The storage region may be in various shapes and sizes and may include removable or hinged lids to enclose an open top of the storage region. The dispensing region can include a plurality of axial slots that meet with a longitudinal slot to permit hooking and removal of the bait. In some embodiments, a hinged end can be provided to permit the hooked bait, when it is too large to be removed through the longitudinal slot, to be removed from the dispensing region after being hooked.
