ADJUSTABLE FISHING TIP-UP STAND

A tip-up system is disclosed herein. The tip-up system includes a base, a telescopic stand, a paddle fastener and a paddle. The tip-up system improves the process of finding a point of balance of the paddle of the tip-up stand. Particularly, the paddle includes a horizontal cavity and a pivot bar attached therewithin. The paddle pivots between a balanced position and a tipped position via the pivot bar. The pivot bar is movable within the horizontal cavity to allow a user to adjust a balance point of the paddle and thus find the correct point of balance for the paddle when in use with a fishing line and hook.

Spring-loaded fishing pole holder and method of operation

A spring-loaded fishing pole holder and method of operation retains a fishing pole in a fishing position by a tension-adjustable, interchangeable spring, and upon mechanical detection of the fish taking the bait, a trigger subassembly triggers the fishing rod to automatically articulate upward to a hooked position using the tension load applied by the spring; whereby the fishing pole may then be removed from the device to manually reel in the fish. A height adjustable stand mounts the device on ground surface. A pole-retention tube receives the handle of the fishing pole. A motion-sensitive line retention bar creates a counter-tension to the tension load on the tube support bar, whereby upon detection of a force exerted on the fishing line, a trigger lever disengages from the fishing line, causing the counter-tension to be removed, and the pole holder to automatically snap back to a release hooked position.

A pivoting fishing rod device including: a fishing rod frame pivotally coupled to a base arm on a rotational joint; the fishing rod frame comprising a rod arm and a support arm; rotation of the fishing rod frame relative to the base arm provided on an axis of rotation defined by the rotational joint, the rod arm coupled to the support arm so that the rotation of the rod arm and the support arm is co-dependent; a first resilient member coupled to a first attachment point mounted on the base arm and a second attachment point mounted on the support arm, the first resilient member configured to produce a tension counterbalance force as a distance between the first attachment point and the second attachment point increases. The first resilient member can apply the counterbalance force to the support arm providing a support vector to counterbalance a first load vector of a first load applied to the rod arm, the first load comprising a fishing line and hook hanging from the rod arm, the first load vector in a direction of the vector of gravity, the counterbalance force biasing the rod arm in a first range of angular position upon applying the first load and the counterbalance force allowing rotational motion of the rod arm in a second range of angular position upon applying a second load, the second load comprising a fish strike on the fishing line and hook.

Fish Hook Setting Device
20200146271 · 2020-05-14 ·

A fish hook setting device for automatically setting a fish hook includes a tube, which has a top that is open so that the tube is configured to insert a handle of a fishing rod. A stake that is coupled to a bottom of the tube is configured to insert into ice proximate to a fishing hole. A line is coupled to and extends from the tube proximate to the bottom. A coupler that is coupled to the line distal from the tube is configured to removably couple to a guide at a tip of the fishing rod, reversibly positioning the fishing rod is in a tensioned configuration. A strike on a hook that is coupled a fishing line of the fishing rod induces the coupler to decouple from the guide at the tip, wherein the fishing rod resumes a linear configuration so that the hook is set.
