SPRAY DEVICE FOR SPRAYING LIQUID ON CROPS

A spraying device 1 for attachment to an elongated boom 3 present on an agricultural tractor, which extends at right angles to the direction of movement 5 of the agricultural tractor, has an elongated first blade 15, which is parallel to the boom 3. The spraying device also has a number of nozzles 19 which are connected to the first blade 15 and are oriented in a direction opposite to the direction of travel 5. Furthermore, the spraying device has an elongated second blade 25 which is also parallel to the boom 3 and which is spaced from the first blade 15. This second blade 25 is pivotable about a pivot axis 27, which is parallel to the boom 3. The second blade 25 is pivotable independently of the first blade 15 to direct the air flow 27 above the nozzles 19 so that the spray liquid completely ends up on the crop.

Sprayer apparatus and systems

Sprayer apparatus for use with an elongate boom may be configured to spray a liquid onto foliage on a ground surface. The sprayer apparatus may include a spray boom, a spray hood coupled to the spray boom, an extension member coupled to the spray boom, and a mounting apparatus coupled to the extension member. The mounting apparatus may be couplable to the elongate boom to support the spray boom and the spray hood above the ground surface.

The invention relates to a spray unit comprising an axle (10), a disc (20), a liquid applicator (40) and a spray direction assembly (50). The disc is configured to spin about the axle centred on the centre of the disc. The liquid applicator is configured to apply liquid to a surface of the disc. The spray direction assembly partially surrounds the disc. The inner surface of the spray direction assembly is configured to modify the trajectory of all liquid that leaves the outer edge of the disc.

Retractable spray shield for agricultural use

A retractable spray shield for agricultural use has a spray barrier; a clam-shell storage tube; a deployment and concealment drive having a motor, a drive shaft, and a quadrilateral linkage that in one direction deploys the spray barrier from the storage tube and in a second opposed direction conceals the spray barrier within the clam-shell storage tube. The quadrilateral linkage is defined by a rotating arm; a pushing arm coupled to the drive shaft; the bottom of the claim-shell storage tube, and a hinge plate supporting the spray barrier. The spray barrier has a generally triangular and flaccid liquid barrier film, a pair of framing legs coupled to opposed edges of the liquid barrier film, and a spring configured to operatively stretch the pair of framing legs apart from each other and thereby expand the barrier film toward a planar, generally triangular geometry when deployed.

SPRAYER SYSTEM

A sprayer for spraying liquid onto a target area or band, the sprayer comprising a shield (10) and a nozzle arrangement for spraying liquid in a spray pattern. The shield (10) comprises a hood (12) at an upper portion of the shield (10) and a flexible skirt (14) at a lower portion of shield (10). The shield (10) surrounds the nozzle arrangement and the spray pattern allowing liquid to be sprayed onto the target area or band through an opening at the bottom of the shield (10). The skirt (14) comprises an inner membrane (40) and an outer membrane (42) which encircle the opening.

LIQUID PLACEMENT APPARATUS

An apparatus and method of applying liquid product to a crop growing in a field. A plurality of drop assemblies are laterally spaced along the boom structure, each of the plurality of drop assemblies include a boom mounting bracket which supports a vertical support member and a spray assembly disposed at a lower end of the vertical support member, the boom mounting bracket having a first pivot axis oriented substantially perpendicular to the boom structure. The drop assemblies are movable from a working position to a transport position. In the transport position the vertical support member is pivoted about the first axis such that the vertical support member is oriented toward the boom structure. In the working position the vertical support is oriented substantially perpendicular to the boom structure.

Hot water steam cover for protecting plants while spraying

A system and method of protecting plants while spraying having a hood mounted to a farm implement and positioned between plant rows and below plant vegetation. Extending through the hood into a hollow chamber is a hydraulic fitting having a spray nozzle. Heated water is supplied to the hydraulic fitting.
