A method of rapidly coating a confectionery is described. The method includes the steps of providing a confectionery core, forming a first-coating surrounding the confectionery core by applying at least one layer of a first syrup followed by a first coating powder to the confectionery core to form the first-coating, and forming a final coating surrounding the first-coating by applying at least one layer of a finishing syrup to the first-coating to form the final-coating.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING NICOTINE GUM
An apparatus for forming a nicotine gum may include a first pair of drums configured to receive and press a nicotine gum mixture to a first thickness so as to form a first pressed sheet and a second pair of drums configured to receive and score the first pressed sheet so as to form a scored sheet including a plurality of gum pieces. The second pair of drums may include a first drum having a first die with a first pattern and a second drum having a second die with a second pattern. The second pattern may be a mirror image of the first pattern. The first drum and the second drum may be spaced such that as the first pressed sheet passes between the first drum and the second drum, the first die and the second die at least score the first pressed sheet.

A composition comprising used chewing gum and a filler is provided, together with a method of preparing the same. In a preferred method, the chewing gum is subjected to a pre-treatment with an oil or water before being combined with the filler. In an alternative method, the chewing gum is used alone with the filler. A composition comprising used chewing gum, a filler and a polymer is also provided, together with a method of its preparation, in which a pre-mixture of the gum and filler is first prepared, before being combined with the polymer, preferably in a molding process. A composition comprising used chewing gum and a filler is provided, together with a method of preparing the same. In a preferred method, the chewing gum is subjected to a pre-treatment with an oil or water before being combined with the filler. A method of manufacturing a comestible is provided including providing at least one manufacturing instrument configured to contact the comestible. A releasing agent is atomized and expelled from an expelling device. Application of pressure to the releasing agent is unnecessary to achieve the atomizing. The atomized releasing agent is applied to either a surface of the at least one manufacturing instrument configured to contact the comestible or to a surface of the comestible.
