Described herein are pet food compositions comprising—in relevant part—effective amounts of betaine and carnitine. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described.

This invention relates to the use of the combination of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (“25-OH D3”) and antioxidants/anti-inflammatories (ascorbic acid vitamin E and canthaxanthin) to make a premix or feed which can ameliorate various problems observed in poultry which have been subject to overfeeding. Feeds containing the 25-OH D3 and antioxidants/anti-inflammatories and premixes are also provided.

Novel Microbial Biomass Based Feed Products
Aquafeed, animal feed, and other food products, as well as nutritional and pharmaceutical compounds, chemicals and biomaterials are important commodities that can be produced at commercial scale by fermentation of microorganisms. The present invention provides a method for producing these valuable multi-carbon compounds from simple gas feedstocks, such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen and oxygen, by cultivating a consortium of microbial cells specially selected for this purpose in an aqueous culture medium. In addition to exploiting inexpensive feedstocks, such as waste industrial gas for this cultivation, the platform described herein also provides the advantage of removing carbon dioxide and other waste gases from industrial emissions, which would otherwise contribute to global climate change. Furthermore, the cultivation of a microbial consortium can provide highly nutritious components to a feed blend that might not be available from a monoculture.

A composition and process for making pet food treats is described herein. Auxiliary ingredients are combined to form a meat mixture. The meat mixture is formed into portions. The portions of meat mixture are positioned on a chew stick that comprises rawhide. The pet treat gives the appearance of a grilled shish kabob, where the meat portions are meant for initial taste, while the chew stick will provide the dog with a longer-lasting chewing portion.

Dried Cheese Pet Chew Treat
A dried chewy cheese product and pet chew treat is described. The cheese chew treat can be shelf-stable, dehydrated, and non-melting. In some embodiments, the cheese chew treat may be formed into a disk shape and may have a central hole. A process for making the dried cheese piece is also described. Methods of making the product may include the steps of pressing and forming the cheese, slicing it to a selected thickness, brining the unfinished cheese pieces, air drying the pieces on a drying rack, dehydrating the product to its final moisture content by placing the unfinished products into a drying chamber at a controlled temperature for a set duration, cooling the product, and removing surface oils.
Red beet pigment composition
A method for obtaining a betalain pigment composition from red beet plants comprising pre-harvest foliar spraying of an ethylene-generating compound and the use of the obtained betalain pigment composition for coloring of an edible product.
