Small-scale cotton processing
A seed processing system for cottonseeds includes a fluid distribution system configured to sequentially dispense an acid solution, a base solution and a rinse liquid onto the cottonseeds. A seed applicator system defines an interior configured to hold the cottonseeds and receive the acid solution, base solution and rinse liquid dispensed from the fluid distribution system. The seed applicator system includes a rotor configured to agitate the cottonseeds in the interior as the acid solution, base solution and rinse liquid are dispensed onto the cottonseeds to effectuate mixing.
Antimicrobial wash
A new antimicrobial wash for treating fresh fruits and vegetables to reduce microorganisms, especially human pathogens, comprises an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide and one or more fruit acids.
RHEOLOGY MODIFIED LOW FOAMING LIQUID ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to rheology modified, low foaming aqueous antimicrobial compositions. The compositions are phase stable under acidic conditions, and do not need to be rinsed from the surface to which they are applied. The present disclosure further relates to methods of use thereof.
ANTIVIRAL AGENT
The present invention has revealed that an antiviral agent containing a serine protease such as subtilisin, nattokinase, and trypsin has an effect of inactivating non-envelope type viruses, and that combining such an antiviral agent containing a serine protease with a cationic polymer enhances the inactivation effect of the antiviral agent against non-envelope type viruses. As a result, an antiviral agent that is highly safe, that has a high virus inactivation ability, and that contains a component that is inexpensive in terms the manufacturing cost and a cationic polymer, was discovered.
Synthetic base and associated methods
Glycine is an organic compound that can be used in the making of a synthetic base that obviates all the drawbacks of strong bases such as sodium hydroxide. The new compound is made by dissolving glycine in water and adding calcium hydroxide at a molar ration of about 1:1. Next, sodium percarbonate is dissolved in the solution to produce the new compound, which can be referred to as glycine hydroxide.
System for mixing germicidally active solutions, on-site, for dairy/agricultural hygiene purposes
A system for on-site production of chlorine dioxide and other sanitizing solutions is disclosed which includes a controller for measuring fluids into a measuring/mixing vessel. The measuring/mixing vessel is designed to measure and mix water with activator and base additives to create a ready-to-use cleaning solution. A drainage system is employed to transfer the ready-to-use cleaning solution into a reservoir for on-site use.
PROCESS FOR PROCESSING MANDARIN SEGMENTS WITH BOTH ACIDIC AND ALKALINE PROCESS WATER BEING DIRECTLY UTILIZED
A process for processing mandarin segments with both acidic and alkaline process water being directly utilized uses an organic acid or an inorganic polyacid instead of a monobasic inorganic acid. Mandarin segments, obtained by separating peeled mandarin into the segments, are treated by the organic acid or inorganic polyacid solution, and then subjected to removal of segment membranes in an alkali solution. The acidic and alkaline water after treatment is collected directly. The collected water can then be filtered and mixed for making an electrolyte beverage or a beverage base, containing multiple functional ingredients such as pectin, flavonoid, pigment, and limonin. Also, the collected water can be used to make dietary fiber having an activity of improving intestinal function.
Cleaning apparatus using reactive oxidizers
An apparatus for washing a set of objects. The apparatus includes a washing chamber and a ROX generator fluidically connected to the washing chamber via a fluid conduit having a distal end that terminates at the washing chamber. The ROX generator is configured to provide reactive oxidizers to a carrier liquid to form a cleaning liquid with ROX cleaning bubbles, wherein the cleaning liquid is transported through the fluid conduit and into the washing chamber.
MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR DRIED BULBS AND TUBERS HAVING EXCELLENT RESTORABILITY AND PRESERVABILITY AND DRIED BULBS AND TUBERS MANUFACTURED THEREBY
The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for dried bulbs and tubers, the method comprising the steps of: punching and perforating the surface of bulbs and tubers with microneedles; placing the perforated bulbs and tubers in a test tube; and freeze-drying the perforated bulbs and tubers placed in the test tube. According to the features of the present invention, the nutritional values of bulbs and tubers can be increased, high-quality products can be provided to a consumer through simple processing, and dried bulbs and tubers having a high restoration rate while having a significantly extended expiration date can be provided.
