Systems and methods for feeding sugar alcohol to ruminants during periods of heat stress
Systems and methods provide sugar alcohol to heat stressed ruminants to improve performance. During periods of high temperature or humidity, heat stressed ruminants may exhibit decreased dry matter intake, and in response, an effective amount of sugar alcohol such as sorbitol may be provided in the ruminant diet to cause performance to increase, which may include increased milk yield, improved feed efficiency or both compared to heat stressed dairy cattle without sugar alcohol in the diet.

FLAVOR NANOEMULSIONS AND METHODS OF PREPARING THE SAME
A flavor nanoemulsion. The nanoemulsion contains a plurality of oil droplets, an aqueous phase, and a surfactant system including a polyethoxylated sorbitan fatty acid ester and a lecithin. Also disclosed is a liquid beverage or a liquid beverage concentrate containing the nanoemulsion and a method of preparing the same.
DYE EMULSION
The invention relates to an emulsion comprising an aqueous phase and an oil phase having a liposoluble colorant and comprising an emulsifier composition for emulsification of the liposoluble colorant in a foodstuff. In order to further develop the emulsion in such a manner that it has a very high transparency and a stable colouration, and in order to provide an emulsifier composition for a colorant emulsion which also has a high acidic stability in very acidic drinks in the range of pH 3.5, the invention proposes that an emulsifier in the aqueous phase is a quillaia extract and the aqueous phase comprises at least one polyol and/or at least one sugar alcohol and preferably comprises lecithin in the oil phase.
