HASHISH PRODUCT HAVING ENHANCED USER EXPERIENCE AND MANUFACTURING PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING SAME
The present disclosure relates to a hashish product having improved consistency, texture and/or appearance. For example, the hashish product may include a cohesive mass of isolated trichomes and a moisture content that is distributed throughout in the cohesive mass. The present disclosure also relates to a process for making the hashish product which includes incorporating water in a mass of isolated trichomes prior to pressing same.
Flavour system
There is provided a flavour system for use in a tobacco industry product. The flavour system comprises lyophilised botanical material, an activator capable of releasing flavourant from the lyophilised botanical material through contact of the activator with the lyophilised botanical material, and a removable barrier preventing contact between the lyophilised botanical material and the activator. The barrier is removable to permit the activator to contact the lyophilised botanical material, thereby to cause release of the flavourant.
AEROSOL-GENERATING MATERIAL COMPRISING AN AMORPHOUS SOLID WITH CARRAGEENAN
A substrate is provided comprising an aerosol-generating material, the aerosol-generating material comprising a thermoreversible amorphous solid, the thermoreversible amorphous solid comprising: 0.5-20 wt % of iota- and/or kappa-carrageenan; 20-80 wt % of an aerosol-former material; 20-70 wt % of a flavorant and/or an active substance; wherein these weights are calculated on a dry weight basis. Consumables and non-combustible aerosol provision systems comprising the substrate, as well as methods of making and using these, are also provided.
AEROSOL-GENERATING COMPRISING AN AMORPHOUS SOLID WITH ALGINATE AND PECTIN AS GELLING AGENTS
An aerosol-generating material including an amorphous solid, wherein the amorphous solid includes: 1-60 wt % of a gelling agent; 5-80 wt % of an aerosol-former material; and 10-60 wt % of an active substance; wherein these weights are calculated on a dry weight basis, and wherein the gelling agent includes alginate and pectin, wherein a ratio of the alginate to the pectin is from 1:1 to 10:1.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PRETREATING AN ATOMIZER
Various embodiments of the subject technology may provide methods and apparatus for pretreating an atomizer. The methods and apparatus for pretreating the atomizer may include applying an aerosol-forming mixture to the atomizer during a first time period. The methods and apparatus for pretreating the atomizer may further include applying a terpene mixture to the atomizer during a second time period.
DEFINED DOSE CANNABIS PUCK
This invention relates to novel products of compressed Cannabis flower for medicinal and/or recreational use, and for methods of making such products.
FORMING A FRACTIONATED CANNABIS CONCENTRATE
A fractionated cannabis concentrate, consumable product containing the fractionated cannabis concentrate, and a method for producing the fractionated cannabis concentrate. The method may include pressing dried cannabis through a first filter having a first pore size of between about 90 and 100 micrometers under a first set of temperature and pressure conditions, collecting a cannabis concentrate released from the dried cannabis and passed through the first filter as a result of the pressing, and fractionating the cannabis concentrate by pressing the cannabis concentrate through a second filter having a second pore size from about 15 to 40 micrometers under a second set of temperature and pressure conditions until a liquid emerges through the second filter leaving a fractionated cannabis concentrate on the second filter. The fractionated cannabis concentrate may be suspended in an edible carrier oil and decarboxylated prior to use in an edible product, tincture or inhalation system.
EXTRUDED STRUCTURES
The present disclosure provides component-containing extruded structures, which include various components entrapped within a base material matrix, and to products containing such component-containing extruded structures. The disclosure also includes a method for entrapping the components, including mixing the component or components with a base material in water, extruding the mixture, and removing at least a portion of the water therefrom. The resulting component-containing extruded structure can then be incorporated within various products, e.g., consumable products such as aerosol-generating devices and components, oral and smokeless products, and conventional smoking articles.
NON-TOBACCO ORAL NICOTINE POUCH COMPOSITION
A non-tobacco oral nicotine pouch composition is provided, including water in an amount of at least 15% by weight of the pouch composition; nicotine; and at least one sugar alcohol, the pouch composition being free of humectants consisting of alginate, propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl cellulose, and glycerol. An oral pouched nicotine product is also provided, including a saliva-permeable pouch and the non-tobacco oral nicotine pouch composition enclosed in the saliva-permeable pouch.
Herbage Having a Reflective Coating
Herbage such as trimmed Cannabis flowers have a reflective coating that sparkles and improves shelf life. The invention includes a first coating of a first Cannabis plant extract including at least 60%-98% Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) that forms a hardened layer on the dried herbage to mechanically preserve the shape of the herbage and enables handling and grinding of the herbage. A second coating of a second Cannabis plant extract, including at least 90-99% Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCa) forms crystals, or “diamonds”, that are embedded in the first coating to improve aesthetics by reflecting light. The crystals improve shelf life by reducing absorption of light by the herbage. The weight sum of the combined coatings are in a particular ratio to the herbage. This ratio is between 1:4 and 2:1 on a weight to weight basis to cause the herbage to sparkle, to improve shelf life, and to enable grinding without sticking.
