Compositions and methods for sublingual delivery of nicotine
Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for oral delivery of nicotine and nicotine derivatives. In one embodiment the nicotine is delivered in an oral packets, pouches, or sachets.
NON-TOBACCO ORAL NICOTINE POUCH COMPOSITION
A non-tobacco oral nicotine pouch composition is provided, including water in an amount of at least 15% by weight of the pouch composition; nicotine; and at least one sugar alcohol, the pouch composition being free of humectants consisting of alginate, propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl cellulose, and glycerol. An oral pouched nicotine product is also provided, including a saliva-permeable pouch and the non-tobacco oral nicotine pouch composition enclosed in the saliva-permeable pouch.
Translucent smokeless tobacco product
A smokeless tobacco product is provided that includes a tobacco material in the form of a tobacco extract, a particulate tobacco material, or a combination thereof. In some embodiments, the smokeless tobacco product is substantially translucent. Methods for making and using the smokeless tobacco product are also provided. The smokeless tobacco product can include isomalt, maltitol syrup, particulate tobacco, and a translucent tobacco extract prepared by ultrafiltration.
Crumbed Tobacco Substrate
An aerosol releasing substrate for use in a heat-not-burn device is air permeable and includes tobacco particles and/or an inhalable agent, which contains at least one of a stimulant and/or a flavor, a gelling agent for gelling the aerosol releasing substrate, a degradation preventing and/or thickening stabilizer, and 30-70% humectant. The aerosol releasing substrate further has a soft granular texture. A method of producing a soft granular aerosol releasing substrate for use in a heat-not-burn device, which is air permeable, includes the steps: a) forming a mixture by mixing tobacco particles and/or an inhalable agent, which contains at least one of a stimulant and/or a flavor, a gelling agent for gelling the aerosol releasing substrate, a degradation preventing and/or thickening stabilizer, and 30-70% humectant, and b) forming a soft granular structure from the mixture.
COATING COMPOSITION OF LOW IGNITION PROPENSITY CIGARETTE PAPER, SMOKING ARTICLE USING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE LOW IGNITION PROPENSITY CIGARETTE PAPER
Provided herein are a coating composition of a low ignition propensity cigarette paper, a smoking article using the same, and a method of manufacturing the low ignition propensity cigarette paper. The coating composition of the low ignition propensity cigarette paper according to some embodiments of the present disclosure includes Arabic gum, ethanol, water, and fructo-oligosaccharide. Fructo-oligosaccharide may remarkably delay the aging speed of the coating composition and block even fine pores so that the ignition propensity of the coating composition is significantly reduced.
ORAL COMPOSITIONS AND RELATED METHODS FOR REDUCING THROAT IRRITATION
The disclosure provides compositions configured for oral use, the compositions including at least one filler, water, a basic amine, and an organic acid, an alkali metal salt of an organic acid, or a combination thereof, wherein the organic acid has a log P value of from about 1.4 to about 8.0. At least a portion of the basic amine is associated with at least a portion of the organic acid or the alkali metal salt thereof. The association is in the form of a basic amine-organic acid salt, an ion pair between the basic amine and a conjugate base of the organic acid, or a combination of both. Further provided are methods for stabilizing a composition configured for oral use, for enhancing a predicted buccal absorption of a composition configured for oral use, and for reducing potential throat irritation associated with the use of compositions including a basic amine.
Nicotine gel
A gel composition is provided, including an alkaloid compound, or a cannabinoid compound, or both an alkaloid compound and a cannabinoid compound; glycerol; a viscosifying agent; a hydrogen-bond crosslinking gelling agent; and an ionic crosslinking gelling agent; and an acid.
ORAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
An oral product configured for oral use is provided herein, the oral product including: at least one sugar substitute in an amount from about 25% to about 45% by weight, based on the total weight of the oral product; a gum in an amount from about 35% to about 55% by weight, based on the total weight of the oral product; a basic amine; and an organic acid, an alkali metal salt of an organic acid, or a combination thereof; wherein the organic acid has a log P value of from about 1.0 to about 12.0; wherein at least a portion of the basic amine is associated with at least a portion of the organic acid or the alkali metal salt thereof, the association in the form of a basic amine-organic acid salt, an ion pair between the basic amine and a conjugate base of the organic acid, or both; and wherein the oral product is in the form of a pastille.
AEROSOL GENERATION
An aerosol-generating composition in the form of an amorphous solid. The amorphous solid includes an aerosol-former material; a gelling agent; optionally a filler; optionally an active substance; and tobacco material. An article for use with a non-combustible aerosol provision devices, can include the aerosol generating composition.
METHOD OF COATING TIPPING PAPER FOR SMOKING ARTICLE AND SMOKING ARTICLE MANUFACTURED ACCORDING THERETO
An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a smoking article including a smoking material portion which is wrapped with a smoking material wrapper, a filter portion which has an upstream end combined with the smoking material portion and is wrapped with a filter wrapper, and a tipping paper which wraps around the filter portion and at least a portion of the smoking material portion so that the smoking material portion and the filter portion are combined, wherein a design printing layer, an overprint (OP) coating layer, and a sweetener coating layer are disposed on a surface of the tipping paper.
