AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE WITH DUAL HOLLOW TUBULAR SEGMENT
An aerosol-generating article is provided for producing an inhalable aerosol upon heating, the article including: a rod of aerosol-generating substrate; a downstream section at a location downstream of the rod and including: a support element located immediately downstream of the rod and being in longitudinal alignment with the rod and including a first hollow tubular segment having an internal diameter (D.sub.FTS), and an aerosol cooling element positioned immediately downstream of the support element and in longitudinal alignment with the support element and the rod and including a second hollow tubular segment having an internal diameter (D.sub.STS); and a ventilation zone at a location along the second segment, in which the D.sub.STS of the second segment is greater than the D.sub.FTS of the first segment, a ratio between the D.sub.STS of the second segment and the D.sub.FTS of the first segment being at least about 1.25.
METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING AN AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE
The present invention provides a method for assembling an aerosol generating article, wherein a first component (1) of the aerosol generating article is arranged in a first groove (3), and an at least partially hollow second component (2) of the aerosol generating article is arranged in a second groove (4). The first component (1) is pushed in a first direction (100) along the first groove (3) into the second component (2) in the second groove (4), by relatively moving the first groove (3) in a second direction (200) with respect to a guide element (6) with an engagement surface (7), such that the engagement surface (7) engages and pushes the first component (1) in the first direction (100). The invention further provides an apparatus for assembling an aerosol generating article and a use of an inclined engagement surface (7) for the insertion of a first component (1) in an at least partially hollow second component (2) of an aerosol generating article.
FILTER COMPONENT FOR SMOKING
A filter component for tobacco smoking, comprises a filter body (1), a filter core material (2), and a filter closing layer (3). The filter body (1) is a hollow cylinder, and the filter core material (2) is built in the filter body (1). At least one end of the filter body (1) is closed by the filter closing layer (3). The filter core material (2) is a granular filter material, filament filter material, folded filter material, or similar filter material having a shape structure with a large specific surface area. The filter component for smoking can be widely used in the field of tobacco and can be built into cigarettes or arranged in related accessories. The filter component for smoking can effectively filter moisture and tar in smoke, and can also ensure good smoking feel and effect.
Compound horizontal filter assembly machine and process
An apparatus and processes for producing compound cigarette filters by horizontally assembling multiple filter segments onto the horizontally oriented transverse flutes of a continuous belt. Spaced apart hoppers are serially arranged above the belt, and each hopper contains at least one of the multiple segments of the compound filter being assembled. A transfer structure between each hopper and the belt serially delivers the filter segments to the flutes on the belt, and after such assembly the various filter segments are removed as a group from each flute of the continuous belt. The filter segments are then combined as a group with wrapped tobacco rods to thereby produce filtered cigarettes.
SMOKING ARTICLE FILTER INCLUDING SOLID FLAVORING AGENT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a smoking article filter having a flavoring agent uniformly distributed in the smoking article filter, which is in a solid state at room temperature and includes at least one natural wax and a flavoring component soaked into the at least one natural wax.
Method for producing smoking articles
A method for producing smoking articles, in particular cigarettes, each comprising a respective first tobacco rod portion; the method comprises the step of cutting a second rod portion, which is four times the length of the first rod portion, crosswise so as to obtain third rod portions, which are twice the length of the first rod portion; the third rod portions are offset and aligned so as to be fed in succession; the speed at which the third rod portions are conveyed before the offsetting procedure is smaller than the speed at which they are conveyed after the offsetting procedure.
TOBACCO SMOKE FILTER
A tobacco smoke filter or filter element comprising: a longitudinally extending core which includes first and second longitudinally extending rods of tobacco smoke filtering material, wherein the first rod of tobacco smoke filtering material is distanced longitudinally from the second rod of tobacco smoke filtering material; a wrapper engaged around the first and second longitudinally extending rods such that the wrapper defines a cavity between the first and second rods of tobacco smoke filtering material; and at least one receptacle for an additive located in the cavity, wherein the maximum width or diameter of the receptacle for an additive is less than half the maximum diameter of the cavity and the void space remaining in the cavity is greater than 50% of the volume of the cavity, the receptacle being free to move within the cavity.
AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE
An aerosol generating article includes: a first portion comprising an aerosol generating material; a second portion comprising a tobacco material including a moisturizing agent; a third portion configured to cool airflow that has passed through the first portion and the second portion; a fourth portion comprising a filter material; and a wrapper that surrounds the first portion, the second portion, the third portion, wherein the second portion includes the moisturizing agent in an amount of 10 wt % or less based on a total weight of the tobacco material such that heat conductivity in the second portion is improved.
AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE, THREAD FILTER, AND COOLING ARTICLE INCLUDING THREAD FILTER
An aerosol generating article includes: an aerosol generating unit including an aerosol generating material; a tobacco filling unit arranged at a downstream end of the aerosol generating unit; a cooling unit arranged at a downstream end of the tobacco filling unit and configured to cool an aerosol; and a thread filter arranged at a downstream end of the cooling unit and including a filter portion and a thread portion which have different flow rates of the aerosol.
