A CARTRIDGE FOR USE IN AN AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM AND AN AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM COMPRISING SAID CARTRIDGE
A cartridge for an aerosol-generating system is provided, the cartridge including: a porous ceramic body having a porosity of between 30% and 65%; and a mesh heater engaged with the porous ceramic body, the mesh heater including a plurality of apertures, each aperture having a dimension between 50 microns and 200 microns, in which the mesh heater is a hybrid mesh heater including a network of wires and fibres, the fibres having a different material composition from the wires. An aerosol-generating system, including an aerosol-generating device and the cartridge, is also provided.
A CARTRIDGE FOR USE IN AN AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM AND AN AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM COMPRISING SAID CARTRIDGE
A cartridge for an aerosol-generating system is provided, the cartridge including: a porous ceramic body having a porosity of between 30% and 65%; and a mesh heater engaged with the porous ceramic body, the mesh heater including a plurality of apertures, each aperture having a dimension between 50 microns and 200 microns, in which the mesh heater is a hybrid mesh heater including a network of wires and fibres, the fibres having a different material composition from the wires. An aerosol-generating system, including an aerosol-generating device and the cartridge, is also provided.
AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE
The present application provides an aerosol generating device which comprises: a cavity, being configured to receive a smokable material; a heater, being configured to extend along the axial direction of the cavity and at least partially surround the cavity, and being configured to heat the smokable material received in the cavity, a temperature sensor, being kept in the cavity, and being configured to be inserted into the smokable material when the smokable material is received in the cavity to sense the temperature of the smokable material. By adopting the aforesaid aerosol generating device in which the temperature sensor is arranged in the cavity and is capable of being inserted into the smokable material to directly detect the temperature of the smokable material, it is convenient to control the temperature in the heating process and the temperature monitoring in the smoking process is more accurate.
AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE
The present application provides an aerosol generating device which comprises: a cavity, being configured to receive a smokable material; a heater, being configured to extend along the axial direction of the cavity and at least partially surround the cavity, and being configured to heat the smokable material received in the cavity, a temperature sensor, being kept in the cavity, and being configured to be inserted into the smokable material when the smokable material is received in the cavity to sense the temperature of the smokable material. The invention relates to an aerosol-generating device (10) comprising a top portion (20), a main portion (70), and a cartridge (50). The top portion comprises a proximal end comprising a cavity (22) for receiving an aerosol-generating article (12). The top portion further comprises a distal end comprising a top cartridge connector (24) and a top airflow channel extending from the top cartridge connector to the cavity. The main portion comprises a proximal end comprising a main cartridge connector (72). The main portion furthers comprises a main air inlet and a main airflow channel extending from the main air inlet to the main cartridge connector. The top cartridge connector is removably attachable to a proximal end of the cartridge and the main cartridge connector is removably attachable to a distal end of the cartridge enabling a first mode of operation. The top cartridge connector is directly removably attachable to the main cartridge connector enabling a second mode of operation.

A method of manufacturing a consumable for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision device which comprises providing a susceptor arrangement (1) comprising first and second susceptor portions (2) and a connector (3) joining the first and second susceptor portions to each other, wherein the first and second susceptor portions are spaced apart from each other by the connector. The method further comprises forming an assembly comprising the susceptor arrangement and aerosol-generating material and dividing the assembly, wherein the dividing comprises dividing the connector and the aerosol-generating material. According to the present disclosure, there is also provided a susceptor arrangement for use in a method of manufacturing a consumable for use with a non-combustible aerosol provision device, an assembly for use in a method of manufacturing a consumable, a consumable for use with a non-combustible aerosol provision device, and non-combustible aerosol provision system.
