An apparatus to automatically ignite herbs in a water pipe. The apparatus includes a cap dimensioned to engage a bowl piece of a water pipe and provide a restricted air path to the bowl. A pressure sensor within the cap senses a pressure change response to air being drawn through the air path. Responsive to a signal from the sensor a controller drives an igniter to ignite the herb within the bowl.

A multi-purpose tool to assist in pipe smoking is provided. The tool comprises a body having a tamper on opposing ends and a poker protruding from the body in a radial direction. Each tamper is operable for packing tobacco into a bowl or other orifice for smoking. The poker is operable to clear any debris or aerate any tightly packed material or tobacco. The tampers and poker can take on a variety of shapes, sizes, and dimensions to accomplish their intended function.

The opposite end of the bottom has a pivot point for a poker which serves to mix the herb and ash within the pipe and/or clean the debris from the pipe. The poker folds up into the sheath when not in use. Thus, a three function pipe tool provides a lighter, a stuffer and a poker.

A tobacco heater with straight through heating tube, comprising a housing with a replaceable battery and a control PCB board; the housing has a mouthpiece; each side of the housing is hinged with an openable seagull door; inside the door is a heating tube at the middle housing; between the mouthpiece and the tube is an airflow path; inside each door is a compress tool for blocking the tobacco; the tube is electrically connected to the board. An openable seagull door is hinged on both sides of the housing to block the tube formed on the inner side of the door in the housing middle to form a straight through tobacco heating container. Tobaccos can be quickly and easily loaded by opening the doors, and the heater can be powered on when closed doors; opening doors, the tobacco heating residues can be easily and quickly cleaned after using.

Example embodiments can include a bowl, a stem, body, or smoke chamber, a mouth piece or receiving portion, and a carburetor to allow fresh air to clear the smoke chamber. The smoking pipe may have or may not have a 5.725 degree taper machined into the inside diameter of the carburetor hole to allow other smoking attachments to be inserted into the carburetor hole.
