HARNESS PROTECTOR
The present disclosure is directed to embodiments of harnesses for supporting and improving comfort of a bicyclist while riding a bicycle. In at least one embodiment, the harness includes a support portion, which supports and contacts hips or a waist of the bicyclist, and a saddle contact portion, which supports and contacts a gluteus maximus (i.e., posterior, rear, butt, etc.) of the bicyclist. The saddle contact portion raises or suspends a perineum area (e.g., an area between the anus and the vulva or scrotum of an individual) of the bicyclist (i.e., rider, operator, user, etc.) above the saddle of the bicycle such that the perineum area does not contact the saddle of the bicycle while riding the bicycle. The harness is adjustable by a plurality of adjustable straps that are coupled between the support and the saddle contact portion. The harness is further adjustable by loosening a locking component interlocking with a toothed member of the support portion, which allows the support portion to be moved from various positions. The bicyclist wears the harness over their external clothing (e.g., pants, shorts, shirt, jacket, etc.).
DECUBITUS ULCERS PREVENTION GARMENT
A decubitus ulcers prevention garment for decreasing the skin pressure on a select body area of the population at risk for decubitus may be provided. The garment may be similar in shape to boxer briefs and composed of strategically mapped air cells for the patients' bilateral hips, proximal thighs and gluteal region wrapping posteriorly, targeting anatomic points including greater trochanteric, ischial tuberosities, posterior iliac spines, sacrum and coccyx. The air cell arrangement may allow for patterned inflation and deflation thereby off loading and loading particular areas. As air cells are cycled through inflation and deflation, skin pressure may be decreased thereby preventing focal pressure and local tissue ischemia resulting in necrosis.
STACKABLE LIFT FOR ISCHIAL TUBEROSITY RE-ALIGNMENT OF SACRAL/LUMBAR COMPLEX AND METHOD OF USE
An adjustable support for differentially adjusting the height of a user's ischial tuberosity to relieve pain from sitting is disclosed. The support includes an adjustable left and right platform, each including at least one stackable lift having a stiffness sufficient to provide pressure to lift the sitz bone(s). Each lift is shaped and sized so that it can be securely stacked on top of the other. The stackable lifts may be connected along an inner edge in a hinged manner or can be received within at least one pouch and movable between the left and right platforms. To lift the height of the lower sitz bone the right and left platforms have a differential height between them, determined by the amount of adjustment needed. The differential adjustable seating height creates a counterbalancing repositioning of the sitz bones relieving the asymmetrical pressure of the sacral/lumbar complex caused by misalignment.
GIRDLE
Provided is a girdle, which makes it possible to sit in a chair, etc. without buttock pain and walk without discomfort, as a result of having: a girdle body 2; a pair of cushioning members 5A, 5B disposed on the front surface side of two mounting areas 4, which comprise left and right regions corresponding to the ischium, on the back side of the girdle body 2; and first hook-and-loop fasteners 6 (6A, 6B) as attachment means for detachably disposing the respective cushioning members 5A, 5B in the mounting areas 4, the fasteners being provided on the back surface of the respective cushioning members 5A, 5B and/or the front surface of the two mounting areas 4.
Conformal protective head wear
A protective clothing device having an article of clothing having an inner layer and/or an outer layer is disclosed. The protective clothing device may have thin force absorbing members coupled to the inner layer or outer layer of the article of clothing. The force absorbing members can have overlapping or interlaced portions for enhanced protection even when the protective clothing device expands. In one embodiment, the protective clothing device may be a protective hat. In another embodiment, the protective clothing device may be a headband.
Decubitus ulcers prevention garment
A decubitus ulcers prevention garment for decreasing the skin pressure on a select body area of the population at risk for decubitus may be provided. HEADBAND WITH IMPACT PROTECTION
Protective garment
An improved protective garment is form-fitting and comfortably secured to the wearer and includes a plurality of padding surfaces to adequately protect the wearer from moisture, cold, wind and uneven surfaces, while also providing pockets that are accessible from both a standing and seated position for storage or hand warming. The pads are held in separate compartments that are readily accessible so that users can replace and/or adjust the pads, such as by trimming them. These features allow for less encumbered motion of the wearer and are based on the construction and shape of the garment. The shape allows for both expansion of coverage on the wearer's body to include the crotch as well as lateral and anterior thighs extending from the waist to just above the knees.
HEADBAND WITH IMPACT PROTECTION
A protective clothing device having an article of clothing having an inner layer and/or an outer layer is disclosed. The protective clothing device may have thin force absorbing members coupled to the inner layer or outer layer of the article of clothing. The force absorbing members can have overlapping or interlaced portions for enhanced protection even when the protective clothing device expands. In one embodiment, the protective clothing device may be a protective hat. In another embodiment, the protective clothing device may be a headband.
