WEARABLE SAFETY TOURNIQUET ASSEMBLY FOR CHAINSAW CHAPS
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a wearable safety tourniquet assembly. The assembly provides a safety tourniquet that circumferentially integrates into a pair of chainsaw chaps for applying pressure to an injured limb. The safety tourniquet has a resilient strap that circumferentially integrates into the limb sections of the chaps. The strap is configured to wrap around the limb of the wearer directly, and without separation from the chaps. The safety tourniquet also has one or more tensioning mechanisms that are operatively attached to the strap. In one possible embodiment, the assembly provides an eclectic assortment of tensioning mechanisms to tighten and loosen the strap around the limb. In other embodiments, the tensioning mechanism can be interchanged to accommodate different pressure requirements, spacing around the chaps, and material and budgetary parameters. A medical kit and/or a sanitization pouch can detachably attach to the chaps, for easy retrieval thereof.
GRIP STRIP HALF CHAPS
A half chap to provide a better grip to the rider's leg is discussed. The half chap includes a calf portion configured to encircle a rider's calf. The calf portion has an interior surface and an exterior surface. The interior surface has at least one grip strip. The grip strip is designed to improve grip of the half chap to the rider's leg. A strap extends below a lower end of the calf portion and configured to fit in front of the heel of the riders' boot to keep the half chap down and in place. A fastener is provided to close the calf portion.
WATERPROOF PROTECTOR FOR A BODY MEMBER
A waterproof protector for a body member and a method for fabricating the waterproof protector. The waterproof protector comprises a body comprising a fabric layer comprising polyester; a water repellent applied to a first surface of the fabric layer; an antimicrobial substance applied to an opposite surface of the fabric layer and located on an inner surface of the body. The body comprises a main seam formed by a junction of the fabric layer, the junction being sewn by an ultrasound to form a main seam which is further sealed with an additional layer of a waterproof material positioned on the inner surface of the body and sealed to the inner surface by heat. The waterproof protector further comprises a stretchable strap attached to an end of the body and having several hook-and-loop fastener portions for leakless securing of the protector to the body member.
ARTICLE OF APPAREL INCLUDING PROTECTIVE PANELS
An article of apparel includes protective padding adapted to contour to the wearer. In an embodiment, the protective panel is a multilayered panel including a foam layer, a fabric layer, and a bonding layer located between the foam layer and the fabric layer. The foam layer may be formed of auxetic foam. Alternatively or in addition to, the bonding layer may be a film including a plurality of openings, and each of the openings defines a reentrant shape.
Motorcycle Forearm and Shin Glider
A forearm and shin glider for motorcycle cornering including a deformable base with slits that allow secure and comfortable fit to the rider's arm or leg. An abrasion resistant casing is attached to the base. This casing holds a set of abrasion resistant balls made of high speed smooth abrasion resistant ceramic. The abrasion resistant balls are located by bearings, also manufactured of ceramic. This device allows the rider to make contact with the ground for support during tight cornering maneuvers with substantially reduced and minimized friction. The abrasion resistant balls move smoothly within the bearings and casing and roll when contacting the ground, creating minimal friction but also providing substantial rider support. The glider device includes air ducts for air flow to reduce friction related heat. The glider device is attached to the rider's clothing using Velcro or hook and loop attachment devices.
Catcher's Leg Guard
According to the present disclosure, a leg guard is provided with a splint connector that connects a knee guard with a thigh guard. The splint is made of a material and shaped in a way that allows the connector to hold tension like a rope, to hold compression like a support beam, to bend in one plane like a single hinge through the full range of the knee joint, to twist slightly and to create and maintain a consistent separation distance between the knee guard and the thigh guard while the leg guard including the connector is being worn.
SOFTBALL PITCHING THIGH PAD
A pad protecting a pitcher's thigh has a tube containing a flexible pad around a front of the tube but not between the pitcher's legs and at least a portion of the back of the tube. A belt encircles the pitcher's waist and a padded top portion and connecting strip connect to the belt and extend laterally from the pitcher's navel to just past the pitcher's hip and extends downward to connect to the front of the tube. The padding covers a strike area where the pitcher's glove arm and glove hit the pitcher's hip and thigh when throwing a fast pitch softball.
LEG SLEEVE AND LEG PROTECTION ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure relates to a leg sleeve, which includes a sleeve body; a cover, connected with the sleeve body to cooperatively form a receiving portion, the receiving portion defines an opening and is configured to receive a protection member; and an anti-slip element, connected with the sleeve body or the cover, to prevent the protection member slipping out from the receiving portion. The present disclosure further provides a leg protection assembly applying the leg sleeve.
Leg pads for a hockey goalkeeper
A leg pad for a hockey goalkeeper playing hockey (e.g., ice hockey) is provided. The leg pad comprises a frontal portion, a medial portion, and a lateral portion respectively configured to be positioned adjacent to a front, a medial side, and a lateral side of a goalkeeper's leg when the leg pad is worn on the leg. The leg pad comprises an outer shell comprising an outer surface of the leg pad, an inner liner for facing the leg, and protective padding disposed between the molded outer shell and the inner liner. The outer shell may comprise molded foam.
