Athletic shorts with moisture protection features and readily accessible pockets
This disclosure relates to athletic shorts, such as those that can be worn while playing tennis, with moisture protection features and including readily accessible pockets, such as pockets that hold tennis balls in a manner that makes those balls readily accessible during a tennis match. An example pair of shorts includes a pocket accessible via an opening, and a rib biased toward a centerline of the opening and configured to direct fluid away from the opening. This disclosure also relates to a corresponding method.
PPE with rotating assembly providing multiple face covers
A personal protective device (PPE) including a face cover assembly and a bodysuit configured to be worn by a human user. The device protects users against airborne aerosol particles containing viruses or other infectious agents while enabling improved flexibility relative to prior art designs. The device includes a helmet-like” rotating face cover assembly that fits over the user's head and attaches to a collar on the biohazard bodysuit. This rotating face cover assembly has a plurality of different mask sides, each with differing geometries or other properties. The device enables a user to rotate (either manually or by electric motor) the masks and select a given mask side that best meets that user's needs. The different mask sides can accommodate different facial geometries, eyewear types, and use cases, such as operation in more hostile environments. Features to improve user comfort, including alternate bodysuit designs, moisture reduction, and cooling are disclosed.
Protective hand covering for infants
A protective hand covering has a flexible shell with an open end and a closed end, and a constricted region between the open and closed ends. The constricted region defines a passage for receiving the child's hand. The hand covering may be worn by an infant or small child during sleeping or other activities, A gripping material is disposed on an inside surface of the shell at the constricted region and around the passage. The gripping material has a coefficient of friction higher than a coefficient of friction of the material of the flexible shell, such that the hand covering is discouraged from coming off of the child's hand.
