The first-side includes an adhesive layer for removably securing the pad to a calf portion of a leg of a user-wearer. The adhesive layer may include a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The pad further includes a removable cover for concealing the adhesive layer before use. The second-side includes a calf-muscle-like extension having a profile of a sculpted calf muscle for enhancing a natural appearance of the calf portion and overall leg of the user-wearer during wear.

The present application provides a protective apparatus that includes a left and a right generally arched shaped portion with a padding system that provides a channel that accommodates the user's shoulder. The foam padding system includes a shoulder pad removably attached to at least one of the generally arched shaped portions, and a pair of body pads removably attached at their top ends to the shoulder pad and at a bottom to respective bottom ends of the generally arched shape portions.

The present application provides a protective apparatus that includes a left and a right generally arched shaped portion with a padding system that provides a channel that accommodates the user's shoulder. Embodiments include a method and apparatus for mounting wearable ballistic body armor plates and accessories to a user. Embodiments may include a plate frame assembly comprising one or more plate frames and one or more ballistic body armor plates. The one or more plate frames may at least partially house the one or more ballistic body armor plates and hold them in position with respect to the one or more plate frames. A method of embodiments may include providing one or more plate frames and one or more ballistic body armor plates and using the one or more plate frames to hold the one or more ballistic armor plates in a fixed position with respect to the body armor plates. In some embodiments, the plate frame assembly is resistant to the absorption and/or accumulation of liquids and chemicals.
