A piece of apparel comprises a hooded garment, a cap having a front, and a securing system associated with the hood of the hooded garment. The securing system comprises a band that contacts the front of the cap and secures the cap to a wearer's head when the hood is up and that secures the cap within the hood with the hood is down. The band extends from one side of the interior of the hood, across the front of the cap and to the other side of the interior of the hood. The band can comprise an elastic portion so that the band compresses the front of the cap when in use.

A head cover includes a brim formed from a plastic sheet. The plastic sheet includes a first area with a material having a first degree of transparency to light and a second area at least partially surrounded by the first area, the second area including a material having a second degree of transparency to light different from the first area. The second area further includes a shape of a logo. At least one of the first area and the second area project an image of the logo onto a surface or object distantly located from the brim when a light impinges on the brim. The head cover is a cap, a visor, or a hat.

Headwear includes a crown of planar fabric panels sewn together in-plane and a brim. The headwear includes a size adjuster of a strip of fabric provided on the lower portion of the crown, around the entire circumference or part of the circumference of the crown.

The size adjuster includes, in a space defined by a casing formed by the strip of fabric, a shape-changing component that extends in the circumferential direction of the crown by a predetermined length by heat of a predetermined temperature or higher. Each of the fabric panels, the strip of fabric, or each of the fabric panels and the strip of fabric has a contour and a mesh formed by cutting fabric on the bias. At least one of the following are sewn together using elastic thread: (1) the fabric panels; (2) the crown and the brim; and (3) the crown and the size adjuster.

An interchangeable hat is disclosed, including a hemispherical crown having a bottom edge defining a perimeter. A brim at least partially extends around the bottom edge, wherein the brim and the crown each including a first side and a second side. An elastic member is positioned about the perimeter to accommodate various head sizes. A storage compartment permits the storage of one or more items therein. The hemispherical crown is sufficiently flexible to allow the first side or the second side to be arranged on an exterior of the interchangeable hat.

The protective apparatus may comprise a headband, a visor, and left and right ear pieces. The protective apparatus may be worn above a wearer's eyebrow lines and may adjust to create a water impervious seal with a wearer's forehead or face. A structure comprising a combination of the headband and left and right ear pieces' may create the water impervious seal between the protective apparatus and the wearer's face or forehead. The structure may comprise a planar stretchable material, left and right ear pieces, and ear piece adjustment mechanisms. A combination of all or any of the above-listed elements may support deflecting water from the cosmetic enhancements. The water impervious seal may minimize water seepage to the wearer's cosmetic enhancements.

A convertible headgear that includes an adjustable strap stored behind a sweatband that may be used to secure the headgear as a cap or mask, and modified rear crown panels that form a ventilation opening to facilitate a clear nasal passage airway when the headgear is worn as a mask.

A hat or other article of apparel worn on the head having a brim which includes a transparent, impermeable veil hanging down from the brim on all sides such that the veil surrounds the head, face, neck and upper shoulder region of the wearer. As such, the present invention may prevent the spread of any droplets between inside and outside of the veil's covered area, instead causing droplets to drop down to the ground.
