COMMUNICATION APPARATUS FOR MISSION PERFORMING USER AND RELATED METHODS
A communication apparatus, a communication system, a related method, and a server device is disclosed. The communication apparatus comprises a communication device, a sensor interface device comprising a sensor interface configured to connect with a plurality of sensor devices including a first sensor device and a second sensor device, a memory, and a processing unit. The processing unit is configured to: obtain first sensor data via a first sensor interface of the sensor interface; obtain second sensor data via a second sensor interface of the sensor interface; and determine user data based on the first sensor data and the second sensor data.
INDICATING HAZARDOUS EXPOSURE IN A SUPPLIED AIR RESPIRATOR SYSTEM
An exposure-indicating supplied air respirator system comprises a head top, a clean air supply source and a portable personal communication hub. The head top comprises a visor that is sized to fit over at least a user's nose and mouth, a position sensor secured to the head top, and a head top communication module. The clean air supply source is connected to the head top that supplies clean air to the interior of the head top. The position sensor detects whether the visor is in a closed position or in an open position and the head top communication module communicates the visor position to the personal communication hub. If the personal communication hub receives a signal indicating the presence of a hazard, and if the visor is in an open position, an alert is generated.
Headset
A headset includes two earcups that overlie and seal around the wearer's ears. The headset includes a system for suspension of the earcups on a helmet, as well as a speaker enclosure that provides increased structural strength without taking up additional space on the board.
HELMET LINER
Implementations of a helmet liner are provided. In some implementations, the helmet liner may be configured to be worn in conjunction with a helmet and/or a headset (e.g., a communication and/or hearing protection headset). In this way, the helmet liner may be used to provide localized thermal comfort for the wearer's head when a helmet and/or a headset is worn. In some implementations, the helmet liner may have a dome-like shape configured for anatomically fitting the head of a wearer. In some implementations, the helmet liner may comprise a front portion, a top portion, a back portion, a first side portion, and a second side portion. In some implementations, the helmet liner may further comprise a first slot and a second slot that extend through the first side portion and the second side portion, respectively.

Soft Ballistic Resistant Armor
A soft armor panel is provided by work softening a panel formed of a ballistic material. The panel also includes slip planes between adjacent ply groups, the adjacent ply groups remaining unconnected or substantially unconnected at the slip plane. The soft, or conformable, body armor, is resistant to various projectile threats, in which the panel is made by work-softening an otherwise rigid panel. The soft armor panel includes a work softened lamination of a plurality of ply groups. Each ply group comprises one or more layers, each layer comprising a composite material of fibers embedded in a matrix material. A slip plane is disposed between at least one set of adjacent ply groups, such that the adjacent ply groups remain unconnected or substantially unconnected at the slip plane. The softened ballistic panel retains significant ballistic properties, is light weight and can be readily conformed to various torso configurations.

Noise reduction elements
A motorsports helmet having an isolation mount defining a receptacle is provided. An adjustment plate is selectively disposed within the receptacle at different depths and includes an ear-cup. The ear-cup is secured relative to the adjustment plate and includes at least two degrees of freedom of movement.

Three-ply padded helmet
The invention provides various embodiments of a soft shell padded helmet comprising a plurality of pads, wherein each pad is configured in a multi-layer configuration. The different embodiments comprise elements to provide a padded helmet that is light-weight and adapted to reduce the risk of head trauma due to the multi-layered padded configuration. The padded helmet comprises a top portion and a side portion, wherein the top portion is coupled to the side portion and each of the top and side portions comprise a plurality of pads.
