Safer baseball batting helmet
20180007991 · 2018-01-11 ·

A safer baseball or softball helmet is constructed of a two-piece molded shell (rounder than the standard helmet today). The inner-shell is the basic helmet (rounder) as we see today. Two options are available for implementation. Option one: retrofit an exiting helmet by installing a rim or no rim and outer-shell cap, attached by a bolt/axis and assorted washers (steel or rubber/pads) to the inner-shell, for a flexing motion as a pogo stick movement to the inner-shell that serves to deflect, rotate, and disperse the force of impact. Option two: manufacture a helmet, with a molded rim or (no rim) as part of the inner-shell, into which the outer-shell will fit. With this design, the outer-shell cap could be interlocked with the helmet inner-shell locking rim with no needed for the bolt/axis. The two shell baseball or softball helmet is designed to reduce all impact forces by rotating outer-shell cap.

Ear adapter apparatus for distributing force against an ear
11567343 · 2023-01-31 ·

An apparatus for distributing a force to a user's ear resultant of a user's earwear. A cushion can be adapted to fit between a user's ear and a user's head. A curved channel defining a guide channel can pass alone the cushion. A line can extend through the cushion and the curved channel for attaching the ear adapter assembly to a user's eyewear. The cushion can distribute a force applied to a user's ear from a user's earwear to minimize deformation of the user's ear resultant of the compressive force from the user's earwear.

DEFLECTING SOUND WAVES AWAY FROM AN EAR OF A WEARER OF A SPORTS PROTECTIVE HELMET
20220408867 · 2022-12-29 ·

Systems, apparatus, and methods for reducing the decibel levels of sound originated external to a sports protective helmet may minimize deleterious effects to the hearing of the individual wearing the sports protective helmet. Through use of a sound-deflecting apparatus that is coupled to an interior surface or to an exterior surface of the sports protective helmet proximate an ear hole, decibel volumes may be constructively reduced by deflecting high frequency sound waves while allowing low frequency sound waves to reach the ear or in vicinity of the ear of the wearer of the helmet.
