A WOVEN UPPER
The present invention provides a woven upper formed of warp yarns and weft yarns comprising a first area that is elastic in at least one of the warp or weft direction. The warp yarns and/or the weft yarns comprise at least 5% elastic yarns. The woven upper being characterised in that the elastic yarns are woven in tension. The upper may also comprise a second area having a different elasticity to the first area, wherein the the warp yarns and/or weft yarns of the second area comprise at least 5% fewer elastic yarns than the equivalent yarns of the first area. Advantageously the woven upper is woven using a jacquard machine. The present invention also provides a method of weaving the woven upper.

UPPER AND SHOE
An upper includes an upper main body that covers an instep of a foot. The upper main body includes: a first portion including a plurality of linear bodies and formed by one layer; and a bag-shaped second portion formed by two layers in which some of the plurality of linear bodies constituting the first portion serve as one layer and the rest of the plurality of linear bodies serves as another layer. Inside the second portion, a cushioning material is put. The second portion protrudes toward a foot of a wearer with respect to the first portion.
FOAMED ARTICLES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Foamed articles including a foamed thermoplastic elastomeric material, methods of making the articles, and methods for manufacturing articles of footwear, apparel, and athletic equipment incorporating the articles are provided. One exemplary method for making a foamed article comprises placing an article comprising a foamable fibrous element and carbon dioxide in a vessel, the foamable fibrous element comprising a plurality of filaments, fibers, and/or yarns, wherein each member of the plurality comprises a foamable material; maintaining the vessel at a first pressure and first temperature at which the carbon dioxide is a liquid and carbon dioxide is soluble in the foamable material; optionally exposing the infused article to a second temperature and second pressure; and subjecting the article to a third pressure and third temperature at which the infused carbon dioxide phase transitions to a gas, thereby expanding the foamable material into a foamed material and forming the foamed article.
AUTOMATIC TEXTILE WINDING SYSTEM WITH MULTI-STRANDED ROTATABLE YARN FEED
A system for forming a non-woven, yarn structure for an engineered textile includes a jig having a plurality of upstanding pins and an automatic winding system for winding a plurality of continuous strands of yarn across the jig and around the upstanding pins. The automatic winding system includes a movement mechanism and a winding head coupled with the movement mechanism. The movement mechanism includes one or more motors that are configured to translate the winding head across a central workspace area of the jig. The winding head includes a rotatable base; a plurality of yarn guides arranged in a linear array and extending from the rotatable base, each yarn guide adapted to receive a different one of the continuous strands, and a rotation motor coupled to the rotatable base and configured to selectively rotate the base to alter an orientation of the linear array.
TEXTILE FOR SUPPORTING HUMAN MOTOR ORGANS AND SUPPORTIVE THERMOPRINTING MATERIAL
The invention provides a textile comprising a supporting mechanism disposed on a surface of a fabric, having a printed layer and a layered elastic support; the elastic support is made of thermoplastic elastomer, and is connected with the printed layer; and a plurality of air-permeable elements disposed in the supporting mechanism. The textile of the invention can be made into wearables for a human body, and the supporting mechanism is capable of supporting human motor organs. The invention also provides a supportive thermoprinting material, a printed layer and a thermoplastic elastomer material layer are disposed on a surface of a substrate, and the printed layer and the thermoplastic elastomer material layer of the thermoprinting material are combined on a fabric to form the textile of the invention.
DATA GENERATING APPARATUS, SHOE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM AND DATA GENERATING METHOD
A data generating apparatus includes: an input unit that receives foot shape data; a processor that computes shoe last data from the foot shape data received by the input unit; and an output unit that outputs the shoe last data computed by the processor. The processor further computes processing data for processing a member that forms an upper of a shoe, based on the computed shoe last data. The output unit further outputs the processing data computed by the processor.
WOVEN SHOE UPPER WITH POCKETS AND FILLINGS
An upper for a shoe includes a woven element comprising at least one single-layer portion and at least one multi-layer portion, wherein the single-layer portion is formed from a single woven layer and the multi-layer portion is formed from at least two overlapping woven layers, wherein the at least one single-layer portion is adjacent to the at least one multi-layer portion, and wherein the multi-layer portion comprises at least one protrusion of the woven element.
SIZE-ADJUSTABLE WOVEN FABRIC,WEARABLE ITEM AND METHODS OF RESIZING A FABRIC
A size-adjustable woven fabric comprises a first set of threads (10a-10i), each formed of a heat-shrink polymer material, at least one conducting thread (20), formed of an electrically conducting material, wherein the first set of threads (10a-10i) runs substantially parallel with each other, and wherein the conducting thread (20) runs substantially across the first set of threads (10a-10i). There is further disclosed a wearable item comprising such a size-adjustable fabric, as well as methods of expanding and reducing size of such a size-adjustable fabric. There is further disclosed footwear and protective wear comprising such size-adjustable fabric.
