A device for attaching a weight on the instep of a shoe comprising a body having: a first coupling to releasably fasten the body to a central area of the instep of a shoe, such that when the device is in use a part of the body overlaps the longitudinal axis (L) of the shoe, and a second coupling to fasten a weight to the body;
the second coupling being offset from the first coupling such that, when the device is in use, the second coupling is offset from the longitudinal axis (L) of the shoe, and when a weight is attached to the second coupling it exerts a torque on the body about the longitudinal axis (L) of the shoe.

According to one embodiment, a removable tightening device is described. The tensioning mechanism is removably coupleable with an article without damaging the article so that upon removal, the coupling of the tensioning mechanism with the article is unrecognizable or not readily detectable. The tensioning mechanism is operable with a tension member to maintain a tension of the tension member and thereby maintain a tightness of the article. The tension member is guided along a path about the article, via one or more guide members, and is tensionable, via the tensioning mechanism, to tighten the article.

A weight for attachment to a piece of footwear includes a first weighted member having a plurality of holes arranged along a length of the weighted member and extending between a first face of the weighted member and a second face of the weighted member. A channel extends between a perimeter of one of the plurality of holes and a perimeter of the weighted member.

The invention relates to a weighting device for footwear, applicable in footwear suitable for practicing sports and/or for rehabilitation therapy, said device comprising a plate (1) of weighted material, preferably quadrangular and with a curved or angular configuration suitable for applying to the area of the instep of the footwear, a receptacle suitable for containing said plate (1), and means for attaching the device to the footwear to be weighted.

A fitness set for the practice of fitness, sport, rehabilitation or physiotherapy exercises may include at least one weight, at least one shoe support for fastening the weight to a shoe of a user, and at least one body support for fastening the weight to the body of a user, the weight having a first releasable binding element and the shoe support and the body support having at least one second releasable binding element matching the first releasable binding element of the weight, configured so that that the weight may be releasably attached to the shoe support or to the body support. A foot balancing device includes a shoe insert, a main balancing element, three auxiliary force-transferring elements, and three auxiliary balancing elements. The main balancing element is provided in an arch region of the shoe insert and serves as a fulcrum on the shoe insert for the front part of the sole of one of the user's feet and the heel of the foot. The auxiliary force-transferring elements are provided in the arch region of the shoe insert so that the pressure center of the sole will displace along an ideal line. The auxiliary balancing elements are located forward of and on two lateral sides of the main balancing element respectively to support a transverse arch, inner arch, and outer arch of the foot respectively. Thus, the user's body weight can distribute evenly over the sole while the user is standing or walking, thereby preventing injury resulting from improper posture.
